The Flash Tom Cavanaugh IS Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash

^ The RF clearly does have super-speed (he's actually faster than Barry), but I wouldn't rule out him also having the ability of temporal displacement on top of that super-speed.

What I meant was he has super speed but his comes from temporal displacement instead of the speed force

I think Wells is Zolomon. He's pretending to be the Reverse Flash, the one who killed Barry's mother, to train Barry. So Barry can take on Thawne.

Have to say, I don't really like the suit. I like it less than Barry's even. Looks completely like Biker gear, with all the leather. Luckily he was vibrating the entire time.

It'll evolve just like Barry's suit will.

Plot twist, Cisco is Reverse Flash. Wells is actually working for Cisco to take good care of his costume.

That's almost exactly what I'm thinking after seeing "The Man In the Yellow Suit," as well. It's been apparent from the beginning that show wants you to think there's only one Reverse Flash and that Wells was it. However, those familiar with the comics know there are technically two--Eobard Thawne and Hunter Zolomon. And it appears the Flash TV series is taking the Zolomon approach with Wells (even though Hunter Zolomon may not actually be Wells' real name) in that his motivation is to try and make Barry into a "better hero/increase his speed," and that, rather than have actual super speed, he manipulates time. Hence the need for the Tachyon particles as they appear to power the yellow suit.

Having a character on the show named "Eddie Thawne" is just way too coincidental for it not to be a reference towards Eobard Thawne, and no way would the show go for the complicated route of having Eddie be Malcon and Barry's twin brother or some such. Instead, the simplest answer is the real Reverse Flash is a future version of Eddie Thawne, hence why the Reverse Flash in the last episode didn't kill him, either because it was Wells in the suit who knew full well Thawne had to stay alive, or it's the future Thawne himself.

Occam's razor says that the simplest explanation - Wells being the RF - is the correct one.

Probably went back in time and kicked his own ass.

Sure, but there's no way the show would not follow-up on why The Reverse Flash didn't kill Eddie Thawne when he easily could have. Especially given how Eddie name is all but identical to Eobard Thawne, the original Reverse Flash in the comics.

EDIT: Besides, when it comes to Wells on this show, nothing is as straight-forward as it seems.

I think Eddie is an ancestor of Wells. Remember Eobard Thawne is from the future. Wouldn't be surprised if that was Wells' real name

Wells can easily be a descendant of Eddie's without being named anything other than Harrison Wells.

Well,I suppose if Wells is RF he has to be Thawne from the future, since he didn't kill Eddie...:hmm

I still think that there a lot more coming to knock our socks off. Remember what Gustin said about being blown away by who RF is? Wells seems too easy. Love this show. Can't wait for January 20th!

Occam's Razor makes sense to explain real world phenomena, it has less utility when there is a writer. Writers have been known in the past to pick the most convoluted explanation possible. Given that, any range of explanations, not just the simplest, are possible.

And here I was hoping they didn't take the straight route and make Wells the yellow blur.

RF is Iris.

No, I believe that was the electric guy Wotsisname he took the blood sample from.
He probably took blood samples from everyone of them.

I forgot one detail, Multiplex killed himself instead of allowing the team to imprison him.

After reading all the posts last night I thought that the ep would be mysterious but it's obvious that Wells in RF.

He powers the suit, travels back in time a day to help himself steal the Tachyon device. (I know that's the grandfather paradox but it's Flash)

How else could he do the voice.

P.S. I found it funny that nobody noticed his legs clearly moving during the beatdown.

I think he meant he was blown away because the whole episode shows both RF and Wells together -- and even interacting -- before it is revealed that Wells is RF.

It's very clear that Wells is RF now, and he engineered that whole "trap" for himself in order to steal the device he wanted/needed -- which he said had the potential to make someone all-powerful. How exactly he did it is the mystery and I can't wait to find out.

I think the way that the team will catch on to Wells is via Cisco. Cisco was questioning why his force-field thing didn't hold long enough because it should have. I think he'll dig into that and discover that Wells tinkered with it or sabotaged it.
