thats from dreamwaves generation 1 comic books from a few years back. but i personally like the boxy designs over the look of the movies. i think it looks better. i would personally prefer the war within design in the movie over anything else. i think the shockwave pic is probably my fav design of shockwave too.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the final designs. How they'll appear onscreen as opposed to just drawings and stuff. Just one question. Whats inside the blocks? is it solid metal? circuits and wires and stuff? Any pictures of that?

illy dna, you do know the pics i'm posting aren't of the movies right? not to confuse any, these are just the designs i'd like to see them use in the movies, i just think this particular line of tformer comics have the best transformer designs, cartoon and comic alike, don is a talented artist and it shows. and all these designs are pregeneration 1 designs.

At least the new one harkens to the original... even if it looks creepy and monsterous (i.e. not very Optimus). At least it's somewhat reminiscent. Which is more than you can say for Megatron and Starscream (and Bumblebee too) pics that we've seen. I like the new Optimus head all in all. I believe that what many people think are eyes are really cheekbones. But, if they turn out to be right... then yeah, it looks like utter complete crap.

yeah i know those arent the movie designs jnmx. i like them for the cartoon/comics but i think the new designs are going to look insane onscreen. in a good way. i like that theyre giving us something familiar but something we havent seen before for the last 20 years. the new OP face even grew on me and makes the old one look cartoony and childish. and a little too japanese influenced for me. i dunno why robots from space would take such a japense influenced look. and call me crazy but i like megatrons look and think the drawing doesnt do it justice.
