OK, one more for the road. :fhm:

Why stop now?!

One of several promotional pictures from the play Coriolanus that are causing hormonal upheaval on Tumblr.

I don't know if you can wholly include me as a total fangirl of Tom as my attentions have started wandering towards other guys, like Henry Cavill and Orlando Bloom...especially Orli when he reprises Legolas in the second part of The Hobbit. He was my first real fangirl type crush.

Fair enough. They are both fine, talented gentlemen worthy of admiration.

Ahem ... Ladies, stop trying to corrupt Godzilla2000 with all those horrible pictures of Tom!

....:cwink:

Contrary to what I just said, thank you for all the lovely pictures, ladies. :woot:

Just think, this time next week, plus or minus a day or so, we might be poring over the new trailer! Longest week ever.

I know how you feel. I'm really excited at the prospect of getting the full trailer soon--hoping for more Loki shots this time. . . .

Curse you Lady Geek. I have full on lust for Tom because of you.

Maybe someone can enlighten me about this phenomenon but I'm just absolutely baffled by heterosexual women pairing Loki up with male characters, specifically Thor and Ironman, in tribute videos. I'm trying to figure out just how this kind of stuff, two men in a relationship, is fantasy fodder for straight females.

I would love to enlighten, but I think the real answer would require a book-length exploration of sexuality and psychology (written by an expert). This phenomenon is common in "fandoms" and not new; it's not just a Loki thing. When I first started looking at Harry Potter-inspired fiction, many years ago, I was shocked by the volume and popularity of same-sex pairings, particularly male. I think you could go back further and find the same with Star Trek and LOTR characters. I think it has a lot to do with exploring sexuality in a safe way--through fiction, imagination--particularly by young people, and especially by young straight females. I think one male is a surrogate for the female who is creating the fantasy.

Another explanation--two hot guys are twice as hot as one hot guy!!:woot:

^I guess this very subject would make a great college dissertation for a Psych major to write about!

Anyways, this was recommended to me by Youtube and it gave me the giggles!!

It is 100% the TRUTH!!! O_O

Oh, that is hilarious! I have tears coming out of my eyes. (And not because I can't have Tom; this is just so funny.)

Do you know what the bride video is from? Those gals are so funny.

Thanks for the laugh. Gonna watch it again!

Yeah, two hot guys - neither of which are available to you! :woot:

This is something I've scratched my head about for a long time as well. A cousin of mine is a long time fan of the original Star Trek (as am I) and has had occasion to meet slash fic writers at Trek related events. She was amazed at how many were straight married women, some middle aged and older. I know not all slash fic writers fit this particular profile (not even Trek), but in this instance I would assume they were done exploring.

That was absolutely hilarious! Glad she posted another Tom video, she does some funny stuff.

Here's her cure for our particular obsession (I don't ordinarily condone violence, but desperate times call for desperate measures :cwink:):

Went to see The Lone Ranger tonight and they had the Thor trailer. I had hoped there'd be more of Tom, but nope. Same trailer that debuted on the web.

I knew I was forgetting that the Lone Ranger opened this week! I blame it on being so hot and humid where I live. I've always done rather poorly in hot weather ever since I was a kid. When the heat has me feeling sick I tend to forget things and go into hibernation. I'll have to wait until next weekend to see it I guess.

SOME theaters were showing alittle on the Agents of SHIELD BEFORE the previews

I bet not mine!! lol Like to add with Thor: The Dark World they may distribute promotional adverts for the SHIELD series in all theaters if marketing is smart. They kind of have a captive audience there.

Anyone seen any of the Thor Prelude #2? All I can say is Odin's A+ parenting strikes again.

Haven't seen it yet but yikes, that sounds bad. Better not be picking on Loki!

The marvel cinematic universe makes me feel that many problems could have been prevented with some serious family therapy.
