Apparently they're filming Valjean's death

Listening to Hugh Jackman singing the 'Bring Him Home' finale, echoing through the Winchester Cloisters - absolutely chilling #lesmis

Amanda Seyfried singing through the tears as he 'dies' is brilliant too - unamplified, unaccompanied, genuinely just brilliant singers.

Hm... So are the saying they heard him sing both the finale AND Bring Him Home, or are they saying that he is singing Bring Him Home as the finale?

I wouldn't be surprised if they re-appropriated Bring Him Home as a reprise for the finale...

might be saying they reworded the lyrics in a way that its now referring to himself....as in "I did all I could in this time, bring me home"

Yes, that's what I'm thinking. :)

He always sang a version of Bring Him Home in the finale, just before Fantine appears.

It starts about 1:15 here:

Oh, man. As many times as I've seen the show in full... I always forget so much when listening to just the cast recording, which is what I've been doing on repeat the last few weeks!

Oops.

"Bring Him Home" starts the finale, so that's what I think he's saying he heard.

  1. Valjean
Alone I wait in the shadows
I count the hours till I can sleep
I dreamed a dream Cosette stood by
It made her weep to know I die.
Alone at the end of the day
Upon this wedding night I pray
Take these children, my Lord, to thy embrace
    And show them grace.
    God on high
    Hear my prayer
    Take me now
    To thy care
    Where You are
    Let me be
    Take me now
    Take me there
    Bring me home
    Bring me home.

its sad that I have the 25th anny, watched it many a time. yet forgot about the finale

Someone who was at the filming in Winchester sets the scene. I like the idea in the second paragraph, man, that's going to kill me I think, especially with what we read about the last song. But I might be dead by the end anyway LOL.

I went to the filming in Winchester last night. Not the most exciting scene, just a horse drawn carriage going through the archway from College Street into St. Swithun Street. They did however done it up with gravel on the road, a cart, some boxes, and a couple of extras in uniform. I did take some photos of the set

The rest of the filming took place in the college. I heard that they used a lot of candles when they shot a scene that will be at the end of the film.

Anne and Hugh look relly ill in the latest pics I saw. :wow:

Not much really, but this explains what it is.
With CinemaCon kicking off on Monday, we’ll be bringing you lots of coverage from the event throughout next week including interviews, panel recaps, and more. Steve is already in Las Vegas for the event, and while walking the floor he came across the very first promo poster for The King’s Speech director Tom Hooper’s big-budget movie musical Les Miserables. For those unaware, CinemaCon is a convention put on for all the major theater owners in order to get a look at what the studios have to offer for the rest of the year; it’s basically Comic-Con for theater owners. As such, this is just a very simple promo poster that’s pretty much just advertising the stellar cast and the fact that Les Mis is headed to the big screen this year.

People complaining about that on certain sites as if it were THE teaser poster that would be displayed in theaters representing this film. Lord.

Even though everything clearly indicates that this is more of "look! This movie is coming" for Cinema Con then an actual teaser poster. Reading comprehension is lost on so many...

A lot of these conventions for distributors and biz people are just, like what Danoyse says, it more like "look what we're making' than actual posters. Like that cheap Robocop reboot poster that has been used every year.

Of course! My first introduction to Les Miz. :D
