And there's Fantine.

Looking forward to the teaser as well.

I have a feeling that's the song we're going to hear for the trailer, since it was what they used for the CinemaCon trailer. But I'm hoping we get to hear some Valjean/Javert as well.

They showed some of the trailer on Entertainment Tonight. Looks the same as the one that leaked, so yeah, her "I Dreamed a Dream" is definitely what's playing over it. I don't expect to hear any of the other songs.

I thought this would be the case. Thanks for letting us know, flickchick.

Chills. :atp:

I will say though, while Anne can sing and has a good voice, her voice is not meant for Fontine. She does a great job acting it out though.

No problem! :yay:

And now that it's up...I agree that Anne is a good singer but doesn't really have the voice we've come to expect for Fontine. But that's ok. Her take on the song seems moving in its own right. The acting looks wonderful so far, too.

I liked the trailer. Anne singing is very emotional, she's put her all into it.

Never read the book. Never seen the musical.

But damn, that was a ****ing great trailer.

Ugh, I can't wait 'til this trailer's available in some other format. Every time I try to re-watch it at MSN I get either syncing or skipping issues. :cmad:

Hathaway sounds ****ing great .

 I'm hoping this role earns her an Oscar. Based on the trailer she's on her way. *Fingers crossed*
While I think Hugh is a lock for a nod, Anne and Barks could both fall victim to category confusion. Hope not.

Damn. I didn't tear up at that at all....

...yes I did!! God, that looks amazing.

I ... don't think I can handle this movie anymore. If the trailer is this devastating ... :(

Maybe I'll stay home and watch Hot Tub Time Machine on blu-ray or something.

Ann Hathaway...she just looks so gorgeous & beautiful even with that short haircut..

That scene where she is forced to cut her hair....is very emotional and touching for me... I really feel for her character....

I hope she gets an Oscar nomination for this.
Indeed.

Anne did not use movie magic ala One Day this time in regards to having a shorter hairstyle. I'm sure the hair cutting moment in Les Mis will be very close to her real natural reaction as a human being, not just existing as a character inside the universe of this film - making it even more authentic and poignant.

I'm late for work and listening to Newsies right now, so my sentiments exactly....

I think it is amazing how people can say this from pictures and trailers. :woot:

I've never really been a fan of this genre, bit this has reeled me in. Wonderful trailer, and Anne sounds fantastic!

I emailed the link to the trailer to my mom. She just emailed me back with "OK, why am I already crying??" :funny:
