TOMB RAIDER being Re-booted!

I disagree I think the Tomb Raider movies are terrible.

They're like the Alien Vs Predator movies and the three Punisher films*: it seems like they went out of their way to make these movie suck even though premises alone sells itself

*I have soft spot for Warzone.

I can't fathom anyone liking the AvP movies (Especially Requiem) unless they're locked up in a padded room.

I watched the AvP movies for the first time recently. They were two of the most abysmal things I've ever seen and Requiem is in my top 10 worst films.

For Warzone of for Ray Stevenson ? :)
I'm not a comic book buff but Warzone was entertaining because of Ray.

I guess they will use the young Lara version for the reboot and ride the Hunger Games/Divergent wave, let's wait for the casting now.

Edit : AvP ( the first ) has some merit.

You bumped this thread for this?

Art imitates life. Angelina Jolie made the character more popular to the general audience, so why wouldn't her own life start to reflect in Lara Croft's character?

She had her ovaries removed because she had a high chance of getting ovarian cancer. It was a difficult decision but she was brave enough to do it and share it with the public.

Because it's a character, one she doesn't even play anymore. The same way Superman didn't get put in a wheelchair after what happened to Christopher Reeve.

But Christopher Reeve continued to be an inspiration to Superman fans. The comic book Superior was inspired by him and his part in the Superman films.

I'm sorry if people were offended by my question, but Angelina Jolie made a brave decision to avoid a possible threat to her health. Action heroes are always seen fighting outside foes, and few contend with threats that could come from within themselves. Heroes fight against their mortality. Lara Croft has been written as a tough survivor, willing to excise her own wounds with a hot knife. Do you think this character should face the kind of personal decisions that Angelina had to make?

Go ask Eidos I think they hold the right's still or maybe a new company has right's to the character these day's.

And I believe Henry Cavill's Superman should be confined to a wheelchair, to portray the bravery of Christopher Reeve. It should come after Batman hands his ass to him...

This is a dumb conversation.

Yeah, Bats had better watch himself with that! Could set his poor cape on fire :p

Batman's neck could end up rotating worse than Linda Blair's! :D

When Cavill eventually loses his hair, he'll look like Professor X.

BTW, my contribution to April Fool's day is not to put the :o after my posts.

Eva Green would be my pick for a rebooted Lara Croft

I liked the first Tomb Raider movie...to me as a big fan of the games I couldn't believe it when it came out. And Daniel Craig!

The second had Gerald Butler as a love interest, ew.
