I'm asking because I am planning to buy one and only one of her albums. At least to start.

I am a Tori Amos fanatic, FYI

I'd recommend Little Earthquakes, to start with. Then UtP. They are both more accessible than some of her later albums where she starts getting kind of strange with more lyrics that really don't make sense and that kind of thing. But, IMO, she's amazing, all around.

I love Boys for Pele it's probably in my #2 slot in my list of where I'd rank her albums, but yeah, that disc is totally totally not for everyone. Like, you really have to like Tori to like that. It's very strange.
