Did they have their wives hang them that way? :o

I for one don't have a problem saying that the justice system is biased and corrupt -- it's been my perspective for decades.

I remember the Bush vs Gore ruling for example, and last year the Supreme Court struck down Row vs Wade because they felt like it.

Most of us know that the war on drugs was manufactured to persecute Black Americans, and some Judges received kickbacks from the prison companies, so they sent innocent kids to jail.

I have seen abusive men use the court system (and CPS) to abuse and financially ruin their ex wives with endless court dates and legal fees, without a care for the impact on the children, and nothing bad happens to them.

We see Hunter Biden getting protected by the DoJ, they're only going after him for lesser crimes and offering him sweetheart deals.

All of this is common knowledge. The difference is that we now have the Democratic base saying that "the justice system is sacred, we have to believe in it, it's wrong to undermine faith in the justice system", that's a major change. They weren't saying that a few years ago in fact they were saying the opposite.

Personally I'm not going to change my mind because a failed President was convicted.

As they should. The Presidency shouldn't be for sale.
It's a common problem and really can only be addressed by establishing comprehensive election reform. The SCOTUS, to highlight an obvious example, gave corporations the right to use their vast economic power to influence elections in the furtherance of their own interests. Those interests are antithetical to the interests for working class people and they are the ones who bear the brunt of the policies put forward by those in the legislative, judicial, and executive branch; all of whom owe a debt of gratitude to their corporate overlords.

It's just not always as obvious as it is with Trump. He's far more blatantly transactional than the vast majority of other politicians.

Very imaginative!

Something just occurred to me. I heard a lot of people saying it would be problematic for Trump to be put in jail because he has Secret Service protection. I never heard anything about that WRT Hunter Biden. I guess that means it's not really an issue.

Does Hunter get protection for life like Trump does?

Sitting presidents and their immediate family members get service protection. After they are out of office, I believe it's minor children IIRC.

It worries me that there is a growing call within the remains of the republican party for the supreme court to intervine the the New York case, but can they? Its not a federal issue, this was a state crime, i dont believe and maybe i am wrong the supreme court has no jurisdiction in a state case, he was found guilty by a jury, there isnt anything to look at here.

There is at least 2 levels of appeals in NY before the federal courts are likely to appeal. Granted, normally, a direct appeal to SCOTUS would be rejected out of hand. Everything I've seen so far is that SCOTUS is not that eager to calvinball to save Trump. Preferring to help by lack of action.

Last I knew West Bank isn't Trump's to give.
This is so tricky politically, it makes my head spin. So, basically give Israel the West Bank and then what happens with the other countries in the area and the tenuous US relations with them? If Israel is attacked, what does US help to Israel look like without the help of Europe (who will probably be abandoned)??? :thud::thud::thud:

Ceding the WB is probably the stupidest political move I can possibly imagine.....which maybe make it right up Trump's alley. US foreign policy is already problematic. What it would look like if something like that were to happen makes US policy untenable. Trump would probably just end up abandoning Israel.

Your literally discribing the entire maga movement, i bet there are thousands who believe this bs from traitor trump
As long as they continue to get their news from places like News Max and OAN, Republicans will continue to believe a lot of stupid things, unfortunately.
