Age of Extinction Transformers 4 is going to be AWESOME. - Part 2

I am raising my prediction of this film's final worldwide gross to 1.04 billion.

The image of a giant ass robot on top of an even bigger Dinossaur looking robot sometimes comes across a bit as unintentionaly hilarious.

Guessing that's a few hundred $/£ right there?

My wallet just screamed and exploded as I read that price Hunter...

The man who stopped making good films after T2. I don't know how he gets such praise and money, but by God I suppose he's doing something right for the masses.

Still, nothing to scoff at since this is the only movie to break $1B this entire summer of low B.O. sales.

Titanic and Avatar were good movies, The Abyss was his most disapointing project.

It might be the only one this year.

Hobbit 3 and the new Hunger Games might have a fair chance, Hobbit 2 may have grossed less but it's doubtful the last film set in middle earth will gross even less than that, it's being promoted enough, so i think a Billion's a fair possibility.

Hunger Games will eventualy get there, but it may not be in the next film already.

That's pretty much why I said might. Either of those films(somewhat like TF) had/have arguments that could be made for them but at the same time, there are just as clear signs against such things.

The thing about TF4(with all it had going against it such as reboot casting) is that it was following a film that demonstrated a billion dollar capability(and then some). It's different with these other two. I'm very curious if hunger games can pull off it's biggest numbers yet with no actual games in the plot and half a story(that's already short). Unlike the last film, this is almost the definition of breaking a working formula. Good luck I say. I don't think this next one will be their biggest domestic.
At least Hobbit has the 'last one' buzz about it. As for hobbit, it's hard to say, plus it's always fickle with films that bleed into following years imo.

Wouldn't shock me if GOTG hit $1Billion.

How do you guys figure that exactly. That it will out do all the other films that opened in the 90's but fell well short of the land mark? Better made films in various cases. I suppose like cap it might have the benefit of months of lax competition but still. Still, only took cap so far. A billion really? I'm curious myself if it will be the highest grossing cbm this year.

Besides, can a movie with sexualized/innuendous and offensive humor and nonsensical plots really strive? I was told otherwise for weeks in these threads. However I suppose if anything the TF films argue anything can happen with this sort of General Audience. It's a measure of entertainment vs that of technical film making as per the on again off again 'rules'.
