Not sure. They had Lockdown mistakenly labeled as a Decepticon before, so I wouldn't assume Waspinator becomes a Depecticon yet.

Nope, he was a bad guy in the Beast Wars series. Annoying as hell, but one of my favorite characters. Think of him as kinda the Starscream of the Beast Wars series.

Eh, I kinda like it myself.

I don't think the Autobots on this show were intended to make extensive use of firearms (hence the set-up at the beginning about the Great War supposedly having been over for ages). Frankly, I don't have all that much a problem with it, considering the variety of weapons that they ARE using (Optimus' axe, Prowl's stars, Grimlock's sword, Jazz's nunchucks, Sentinel's lance, Bulkhead's wrecking ball, Magnus' hammer, etc.).

They're mostly just civilians anyway, so laser weapons were reserved for the militant bots, and the Decepticons who are just hostile by nature anyways.

From the hints that have been dropped about this Rodimus Prime and his crew are going to be analouges to Optimus and his crew. So is Cyclonus and his cons. I suspect that Strika is going to be like Lugnut. The decpti-muscle to Brawn's autobot muscle.

Considering that the name "HOT ROD" has been un-useable to Hasbro it would be a safe beet that the Animated character will ether be "Rodimus" or "Rodimus Prime".

I always figured they would stick with Rodimus, making him a Prime seems a little out of place since he's always had that brash youth persona, not quite the roll of a Prime. Maybe they are giving him a new character, a shame really, I liked him as the hot headed young gun.

Wheeljack looks pretty nice. Perceptor...well, insert obligatory Mojo Jojo joke here. I don't care for Perceptor's design one way or the other, frankly, 'cuz I was never impressed with the original character to begin with (IMO he was always little more than a slightly more mannish C-3PO).

Wheeljack looks awesome. Can't wait to hear his voice. Perceptor is kinda eh, but not bad.

I love Wheeljacks design, and I don't mind Perceptors. The only thing that makes it good is that I could totally imagine him talking in his G1 voice. But he does look like a monkey.
