I love Wheeljacks design, and I don't mind Perceptors. The only thing that makes it good is that I could totally imagine him talking in his G1 voice. But he does look like a monkey.

It's weird how they Oil Slicks design is way different than the toy, maybe this is a Cybertron mode or something.

That fembot Red Alert was orginally going to occupy Ratchet's medic position on Optimus's earth crew. So I guess they just wanted to use her somewhere.

It's also amusing that Strika is Lugnut's woman.

From the rumours about season 3 I've heard it's going to open with these two teams going at it in another part of the galaxy. And that Waspinator will be featured in another episode. I've seen a potential title "Rise of the predacons" thrown round.

Actually that's pretty faithful to G1...in its way...

I like how they made Red Alert look like a nurse from the 1800's or something. Very old-style. Almost Egyptian in a way.

After taking a closer look at the female Red Alert.....

I think she looks more like Minerver from the G1 Masterforce serries then she does G1 Red Alert.

I could see where that may be part of the reason they made Red a "female" - Animated seems to take some of its character design cues from Japanese TF continuity (ex: Megatron's Earth mode = Super Megatron)

Animated Hot Shot Character Model

The character model for Animated Hot Shot has been found on tfwiki.net. Derrick Wyatt, Art Director/Lead Character Designer for Transformers Animated, provided the image to TF Wiki. Hot Shot is scheduled to appear in Season Three of Animated under the command of Rodimus Prime!
