Transformers: Prime

Arcee is the bomb. She's my favorite. I wish Bumblebee had a voice though. I can't stand how they Bayadized him (yes I said Bay-adized). Bulkhead is alright and Rachet too. Of course Prime is Prime but I would love to see more Transformers especially with the Decpticons. The only ones that have detailed identities are Megatron and Starscream. Soundwave seems to blend in with the Decipti-drones.

Finally got a chance to watch the show due to my free preview of the Hub channel for the month of December. The animation sucks but the characters seem great so far especially Optimus Prime who is always great as long as he is voiced by Optimus Prime. Where are the Witwicky's at but then every incarnation of the Transformers cartoon didn't involve the Witwicky's either.

keep "Raf" he is cool,, and useful.

I hate Raf. All the kids suck but Raf understanding Bumblebee's beeps, fixing stuff Ratchet can't fix, and hacking into the fed's database was annoying and fanfictiony. And he has ****** parents.

Overall it was a pretty good mini event. There's still a lot of room for improvement but the action was impressive. Prime vs. Megatron was probably the best one on one fight I've seen in a cartoon this year.

But seriously, I'm creeped out by how empty their town is. There was more people in the first frame of Young Justice.

really like this show! the only things i'd like to see change are
- get rid of miko
- replace the drones and zombies with named decepticons
- populate the backgrounds a bit more
- make agent fowler part of a third human faction and give them some modest screen time.

I'll be watching the finale later tonight.

I'm liking the animation. It's waaaaaaaaaaaay better than the GI JOE 'toon though I was initially psyched for that.

The battles are really good, even tailored with a bit of a martial arts style cut.

Freakin' Autobot Zombies! I thought that was cool.

Frankly, I've never been much of a Trans-Fan. The mini-series has been cool but I don't think I'll be tuning into this when the show actually starts next year. i don't know. We'll see, I guess.

The blend of Bay-formers with TFA is interesting. Seems the intentionally are trying to blend the best of the most recent popular incarnations.
I guess I'm just 'meh' right now. I'll try out more eps later. Robot zombies has me curious though.

I'm so over a Bumblebee who doesn't talk. It was a cute gimmick for the first movie but it's played out. I also hope Cliffjumper is alive or able to be 'rebooted', for lack of a better term.

Cliff Jumper is pretty much dead now. He was first killed by the Decepticons who then brought him back as a zombie who was unstable, & then they cut him into pieces & lastly he was pretty much obliterated by a dark energon bomb in the end so there is no coming back from that.

I would love to see wheeljack, Brawn, and Ironhide (with the hillbilly voice) in the new series.

they have peter cullen anyways,, so they need him to voice ironhide like the G1 transformers.

With no real proof of Megatron actually being killed, I wonder what's going to happen in February. I do love that Starscream immediately assumed command as leader. My guess is that he might already become Galvatron.

After watching all five episodes I must say it was pretty good. I'm looking forward to the next few episodes.

I too would like them to get rid of Miko arrghhh she's soooo annoying!

The irony, since I really think Miko is a bit of a fan surrogate. I mean, I suspect that the more manic fans really would behave like that if placed in her position (meaning, rushing headlong into danger much to the jeapordy of her own safety as well as others).

Unfortunately, both of these, along with better populating the towns, require more money where as the show appears to be made on a tight budget. If they had the resources, I think there are more pressing issues such as the overall picture quality (it's not nearly as detailed as other 3D animations out there).

I suppose you're right about the Miko thing, but there's a point where you'd realise that this is not a game!

Watched finished the last three part, is ok, not better than Animated but it's watchable. The animation took awhile to get used to (although I still wish they didn't go with CG) and they have to put some more known decepticons, no more drones.

Have watched all the mini-episodes and it was mediocre. I have only two complaint, one is the animation, it didn't have to be CG.
The other one is the kids. Jack is a whiny *****, Miko is irritating and Raf having technical knowledge and understanding Bumblebee is just plain stupid.

Anyway looking forward to more episodes and like what people has been saying they should add more known/named Deceptions.

Is anyone else really liking the way Welker has modified his Megatron voice? It really puts to bed the notion that he can no longer pull the character off, IMO.

His Megatron is still good, but it used to be better. Still better than Weaving's though. Horrible show. Miko is too annoying & I hate the way Starscream looks in this. Saw the 5 parter. Done with this show.

Scraplets invade HQ while Optimus and Arcee patrol the Arctic, leaving Bumblebee and Ratchet to repel the enemy.

Episode 8 - Con Job

Bulkhead awaits a visit from his buddy Wheeljack, but his arrival does not go as planned.

I watched Prime online. Better late than never. I had some reservations but was still looking forward to it and really enjoyed it.

The five parter had a pretty interesting story with

the dark energon and the robot zombies

. Very cool to put those two ideas together. The Autobots time on earth reminded me of the second half of the first movie. Even with Prime giving a similar speech.

I like the movie meets Animated style. I just wish Bumblebee had a more G1/animated inspired head and face like the other autobots. I'm also not crazy about the R2D2 talk. Its getting kind of old at this point. Yeah it was cute in the movies at first and thats why they did it for Prime but I miss Bumblebee talking since he used to be such a friendly bot. Dan Gilvezan was a good talker and and gave him a likable personality through that. His Bumblebee and Spike had a great chemistry because of that.

I always liked the idea that the Cons could look a little more sharp edged like their movie counterparts to drive home the fact that they are machines of war while the Autobots should be more blocky and bulky to show they are made for industry. I don't know if the cartoon is going that way but it seems like it a little.

I like Arcee a lot and this new Bulkhead. Optimus Prime is always great and I love that we're hearing Cullen play him on weekly tv again.

This may be my favorite Ratchet ever. I love his look and the fact that Jeffrey Combs is voicing him makes it even better. The new Starscream look is growing on me but I hate Soundwaves robot mode. I like his alt mode (which is a perfect update for him) and the fact that he doesn't speak even though Welkers Soundwave is iconic.

hadn't died so early so I could have had mroe time to invest in him since I liked The Rock voicing him and the way he looked. But I also understand they did it to show the threat immediatly.

Yeah I know he and others have said he couldn't do the voice anymore but this pretty much proved it. He's changed it to something less harsh and raspy. I still like it but I loved his G1 cartoon voice.
