I remember the 1st time i saw that movie.(tf:the movie) i'd never heard of it b4, and i thought i was renting the 3 episode long pilot i rented b4. imagine my surprise when i found out it was completely different movie, and that everybody from that show i knew DIED in the beginning. and than saw unicron for the 1st time.

...um, back on topic, I think bay is lying about rc. a lil false info, ya know?

Hope the Arcee "death" is false. It would be nice to have a female transformer around for a while. Afterall, there are fanGIRLS out there as well as fanboys. She may not be the best transformer in the world, but it would still be nice to have her around longer than a quick and emotionless death scene, like Jazz.

Revenge of the Fallen Running Time Revealed

Revenge of the Fallen” was over 2 hours as he was editing it in early February. So, when we spoke with him recently, we made sure to get an update.

“It’s four minutes longer than the last one,” explained Bay, saying that the runtime was locked. “So, go figure it out.”

Well, our crack research team here at MTV News has gotten to the bottom of the mystery – and by that, I mean that I walked over to my DVD shelf just now and looked at the back of my copy. It says that the 2007 “Transformers” was 143 minutes, which means that “Revenge of the Fallen” will run…drumroll please…yep, 147 minutes.

That’s a good value for your entertainment dollar, in terms of extra time with Megan Fox’s hotness, Bay’s new robots, and the sleek cars that should make the “Fast and Furious” vehicles look like Richard Farnsworth’s “The Straight Story” tractor.

Nevertheless, Bay said that Hollywood puts too much emphasis these days on the runtime of movies. “I don’t ever talk (to executives) about run times,” he grinned. “Studios always ask, ‘What’s the run time?’ And I’m like ‘If you enjoy the movie, do you care?’”

All 147 minutes of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” will hit theaters everywhere June 24th.

I do. I subscribe to comics, order Marvel comic collection books off the internet, own most of the good comic based movies, and my family has the Marvel, DC, and Transformers encyclopedia. There is a reason I'm Geekgirl. My eighteenth birthday presents consisted of books, comics, and the complete Transformers Armada series on DVD.

I expected this, no surprise. I'm happy to hear it to...the first one had a good run-time and with the characters already introduced this leaves alot of time for robot action.

Was expecting a little more with the run-time, but with hopefully less human characters and less human screen time, we should still get what we want.

but TF was not short it was 2 hours and 24 minutes. it was already long for a summer blockbuster.

"The Dark Knight" was pretty long, but it was still awesome. Long movie is awesome if they do well. I'm excited that it has over two hour run-time. Lots of time for explosions (and maybe some character development).

Agreed Geekgirl.

We got a lot of the human BS done with the first film. You know, introducing the main characters and whatnot. Hopefully a lot more of the sequels runtime will focus on the actual Transformers.

I always welcome longer movies...as long as they're entertaining.

They should. Before there was the whole "what are they?/why are they here?" problem for the humans. Now, the important ones are aware of the Transformers. That way they can go straight to robot bashing and skip Sam's whole "I bought Satan's Camaro" stuff.

Steven Spielberg sat next to me in a big 100 person theater at Sony today. There were 98 empty seats. The lights came up after we just watched my cut of Revenge of the Fallen. He turned to me and said "It's awesome". He felt this movie was better then the first - and probably my best, who knows - at this point in a movie you start to lose your objectivity. I just hope the fans like it. I'm going to start putting it in front of audiences in a few weeks - no you are not invited, yet. We have 60 days left. Let me tell you it will be a race to finish. It's 12 at night and we are still working here in the edit room. Everyone at ILM and DD are killing themselves right now, they are doing a stellar job on the effects. We also just finished our trailer which is coming out with Wolverine. Talk to you soon. Michael

Well it should be better then the first, I doubt they would say anything bad about it, looks like a good excuse to see Wolverine.

True, but this one has more to cover it seems, so I was expecting a little longer run-time, i'm sure it will all be fine though. The introductions are out of the way afterall.

For some reason I want this movie to have an explosive opening...
It starts with a quiet, peaceful scene in suburbia ...
Then suddenly....

KABOOM!!!!

A HOUSE EXPLODES AS A LARGE YELLOW ROBOT IS THROWN THROUGH IT AND ANOTHER BLACK ROBOT WALKS TOWARDS HIM ACROSS THE RUBBLE

Bumblebee and Barricade rematch... and we actually get to see it this time

He says the new trailer will be shown before Wolverine...I guess that's a decent reason to see that film.

I will not subject myself to the tripe that is Wolverine just for this trailer.

It'll be on youtube by the next morning.
