Yup. We in England got the first showing at 00.01. What a film it was. The Twins or Wheelie were no where near as annoying as I feared, there was FAR more comedy in this one compared to the first(although everyone seemed to love it) and Prime is the baddest of asses. There are no one sided fights in this film with regards to Prime.

as the ***** stabs him he says "you are so weak". WEAK? Prime was battering Grindor, Starscream and Megs in one of the best screen fights ever and he dares call him weak. At the beginning of the fight it is just Prime VS Megs...but Megs had no chance and so called in help. Now that is weak. As a nice nod to the toon film, there is a shot of Prime backflipping while shooting as he is rescuing Sam. Brought a smile to my face

So isnt Megatron the one who is weak now? It sounds like they tried to correct making Prime weak in the first one by making him super powerful now.

One review said that the robo ****** twins are prevalent in the film and are very distracting. He said he was Transformers version of jar jar. God I hope not. He said of all the good, the bad humor and terrible hijinks of the twins is way over the top.

Tell me something. Is Sideswipe underused in the movie? After seeing the new TV spot where they show most of his scene with Sideways, i feel he's even more badass than Ironhide but from what i know, the only fight he has center stage is in Shangai. Hope not. Easily the best of the new bots. And what can you tell us about the bike sisters/Arcee combo?
And as a final question, what can you tell us about the music score in the movie? Most people that have heard the score complain that it too generic and missing the thematic force of the first. I loved it but would like to know how it works in the movie itself and if any music from the first score was used.

I think it's more of a philosophical use of weak...as in weak for siding with and defending humans

I just want to know how badass The Fallen is?

I keep hearing the final act is weak and for some reason get the feeling that The Fallen isn't going to be nearly as awesome as he should be.

Not to mention I don't recall reading a single early review yet that mentioned him in a positive manner, let alone at all.

No

Erm...well The Fallen justs sits on Mars for most of the film and doesn't do a great deal at the end. Starscream has far more dialogue and feels like a much better character. His voice also seems closer to his toon voice as well. Devastator was pretty useless.

Sideswipe is only used in Shangai and his fight with Sideways is his only bad ass moment. Arcee and the sisters never combine and are useless. The score is almost the same as the first one aside from the new LP song. It still managed to give goosebumps.

Such a waste, yet they threw in a **** ton of other Transformers that don't really serve a purpose other than to show them taking out other random Decepticons. Well at least the action and effects will be great.

Regardless of fans assumptions you don't put in a mammoth like Devastator and have him get owned almost immediately not to mention just have him suck up sand...which I hope has a purpose. Please tell me that he at least owns a few autobots before they take his ass out?

I guess. Alas the only bots he fights are the Twins and Devs kills nothing. The sucking sand thing was to suck up the Twins, Leo and Simmons which failed. he then climbs up a pyramid, smashes off the top then gets owned by a big bastard laser.

So you don't believe it was a major waste of potential? I'm not one of the haters, I enjoyed the first film a lot and tend to defend Bay because I like most(not all) of his films even though I realize a lot of them are fairly mindless. I just think there is a difference between being a fan of Bay's films or Transformer films and just settling and accepting everything.
