They probably got a good deal on cost.....its the same thing here in CT lately as well
 
I don't think she was in the scene. It really doesn't make sense, being that this particular sequence/scene is set in China... unless, this being the opening sequence is the actual lie.
 
I think she was there maybe to be with the rest of the cast when they move to the next place there shooting.

I think there shooting in philly next. the college type stuff.
 
The stuff i've been seeing on Fox's 'appearance' was to do with a scene where she and Gibson run up some stairs.....

Could it be that Bay found a stair well he thought would look good for this scene and got Fox out to film it.... then do the rest where ever they had originally planned it?

Yeah perhaps.

I read tht thing about the stairwell also.

Eh... I can't see that happening. I'm seriously beginning to believe that this may not be the opening sequence. I don't know if the opening sequence to the first movie can be topped. Blackout blew that mutha****ah up! :up:
 
I hope Duhamel gets a bit more screen time, along with Fox.,...I was a big 'Las Vegas' fan and I liked his character in that....
 
Yeah it was true. The local news said it. Fox was in town. They showed a on set pic.
 
Black Lantern you're from CT too? I was so pissed when I missed the casting call in PA/ NJ, its not too far away, closer than California, I've been in the hospital lately so I've been thrown off, so I missed it. I would have loved to be in the sequel to my all time favorite movie!

I was even more pissed when they said they needed college students 18+. I'm 18, turning 19 in August and I am now this coming year a Sophomore in college so I would have been perfect, not to mention I want to become an actor someday.

I was even pissed last summer when I missed the Indy 4 filming in New Haven, the closest a movie I liked has been being filmed near me. My Mom told me no, then I told her that the filming finished and she said she would have let me go to New Haven... I was furious

But I've been really bummed out that I missed the casting call for the college age kids

SPOILER WARNING!!!!
There have been rumors about who was at Bethlehem Steel to shoot for the film. Was Shia or Fox there, who else was there, what did the cars do, which where Transformers, which where not. Now this is just for Wednesday but not a reach to infer this went for the other days to.

Bethlehem Steel's Role
Based on the scene descriptions, the role of the factory is a Shanghai, China steel factory. The scenes describe action and vehicle chases occuring along a "Shanghai Steel Yard" and "Shanghai Side Street". The scene is the Autobots, SAS and Lennox's team chasing after Decepticon, R8 (rate? hate? human built prototype TF?).

Bethlehem Steel Human Cast
The cast at Bethlehem Steel was Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Matthew Marsden and Andrew Howard. Josh and Tyrese was already confirmed (pics here and here). The news of Marsden's casting as SAS Graham was just out this week, didn't know he had already started shooting.

A new addition is Ramon Rodriguez, (The Wire) who appears to be the roommate of Shia LaBeouf considering his listing as #5 on the call sheet.

Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox did not film at the site. The call sheet has multiple gaps in the cast numbering which simply suggests that are more principle cast members, its just they didn't work on the scenes on the sheet. It appears the first 12 numbers in the count represents the "core" cast for the movie. One is Shia LaBeouf, 2 is Megan Fox, 3 is Josh Duhamel, 8 is Tyrese Gibson, and 12 is Mathhew Marsden. Of note is the gap for 4 (John Turturro), 6 and 7 (one of them is Jon Voight) and 9 - 11. Could some of those be the rumored casting of Nina Dobrev or Aaron Hill?

Vehiciles at Site
Getting to the Transformers. As far as vehciles used the three wheeled motorcycles, an Ice Cream Truck, Ironhide, Audi, 3 NEST Hummers, 2 Trikes, 10 Shanghai dressed police vehicles and NEST semi. Also a Chinese Police helicoptor and 2 Blackhawks all equiped with spotlights.

Smithsonian Air and Space Museum
Production moves to the Smithsonian. The schedule is June 5 to Sunday June 6. The cast will include Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, John Turturro and Ramon Rodriguez. Based on the scenes it appears they are hunting for something Decepticon related at the muesum after hours involving the SR-71 Blackhawk that is there.

There is also a mention of "Splinter". I am not sure if that is a TF or an Autobot artifact for the film.

Transformers
Known Transformers at the sites was Ironhide and Bumblebee (at the Smithsonian). Additional NEW Transformers from what I can tell is Arcee (the motorcycles), The Twins (the Ice Cream Truck), Stinger (a Porsche I think), R8 (maybe rumored Acura or Audi), Wheelbot, Jetfire (the Blackhawk) and a "Constructicon Earth Mover".

THE TWINS?! ARE THEY WHO I THINK THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT? Meaning the ice cream truck is probably an early alt mode for them, and they pic new ones later on in the movie?1
