Those are the same writers who lied time and time again during production of TF1, so seeing is believing with them.
Bay on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Source: Entertainment Weekly July 15, 2008
Entertainment Weekly talked to Michael Bay who didn't reveal much about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, but did say the following:
When we were writing the script, I said to the writers, "I hate sequels that try to make it to the third movie. Pretend like we’re never having a third movie, so let's go for broke on the second one. I hate those cliffhangers! Let's just make this movie stand on its own." I really feel this movie is not a forced sequel. I think the script is really good, and I think it's got a lot of new stuff in it. There are a lot of rumors out there, but we've released a lot of fake stuff. We’ve done a really good job of keeping things secret.
You can read the rest of his quotes here.
aha!I personally think Bay is full of ****, and is actually using reverse psychology on us.....

I hate your signature (the first part)...tells a lot about who you are

THIS i liked the sound of, i liked the first movie, but was a fan of TF anyway, so i cant wait for this.
Good read. I guess that goes along with the title, and that 'The Fallen' refers to a TF character from space that heralds the coming of Unicron.
We're still looking for confirmation on whether the title is a reference to "The Fallen" right?
It appears that the concept Corvette may very well turn out to be Hot Rod:

Obviously take this with a grain of salt, but ever since we learned that this was going to be in the film, the Corvette has always struck me as a possible Hot Rod.

Has their been any official word that Hot Rod is even in the movie? Bay keeps talking about throwing out false info, yet everyone seems to be eating this Hot Rod 'rumor' up like it's actually true.![]()

You heard it here first folks! Mark Ryan, the voice of Bumblebee in the first Transformers Movie, will be returning to the set and audio booth once again for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen!
Here's what Mr. Ryan has to say on the subject:
I can confirm that I am working on Transformers 2 - Revenge Of The Fallen and have been given the same job on set, voicing the Autobots for the actors, and have already done some voiceover work in the studio as well. Its a privilege to work with the cast and crew again, it's very exciting and we are having a great time. I cannot comment on details about the film or the script, but there are some new characters that fans will love.
Also of note, Mr. Ryan will be making an appearance at the San Diego ComicCon to discuss his new graphic novel "The Pilgrim" with Mike Grell during a panel on Friday, the 25th. And as a final bit of info, Mark will be starting a now as yet unnamed project next month.

I'm a summer student over at USC and this alert could actually go out to anyone in and around USC. They are going to start filming here either this week or next week. As I heard it - it's an action sequence, Shia, Bay, the whole crew is going to be here. The school is having a meeting about it THIS Wednesday.
How do I know? Stupid luck really, right place at the right time, I just happened to over hear it. Don't think I was supposed to.
I can't give you guys the complete details, I will report back with what I saw though.
USC students, like myself, I'm betting you know how to work around the system, ask around, listen closely, pay attention and we'll all be there at the right place, right time. Teachers and staff may also open up. I have a particular teacher connection that I'm betting can give me the low down. The teacher has a connection to the film.
With Sam being at college, we may even be extras.
See you guys at USC. There's more to this school than meets the eye
It's wishful thinking for me. I love Hot Rod.t:
As long as he never becomes Rodimus Prime.
If Hasbro has any say in what characters they use, Hot Rod will most likely show up sometime. He's one of the highest selling characters.

It's incredible saddening how much lack of news there is. Either they are doing a damn good job of keeping this under wraps or people just stopped caring/visiting sets. I prefered the first film's following, it was so much more exciting. I think Bay is somewhat shooting himself in the foot by holding everything back, he's minimizing the hype that there could of been had he released some stuff.

Anyhow, Hot Rod seems like a dream character for Bay. I just can't see Bay not making him red and throwing the flames on him. Bay would jump at the chance to do that to a car. The rumored grey corvette just doesn't seem to fit Hot Rod. But, we'll see.

Highest selling? Really? I didn't know that.
I personally hate the character. Yeah, he served his purpose in the animated movie, but everything about him after that was crap imo.
I dunno, i think my hatred of him stems from the fact that his introduction, along with the introduction of Galvatron, Ultra Magnus, Arcee, Cyclonus, etc signified the end of the G1 era, that i knew and loved. The show completely went down the toilet in quality once these characters debuted.
