Coloring books are rarely good sources for 100% accurate info.

Otherwise The Dark Knight would have been a different film altogether.

It's possible The Fallen is trapped in the sun and the Decepticons are being manipulated to release him.

or..

The Fallen has tricked them into an attempt to destroy the sun because he serves Unicron or some such. Think of Thanos and his relationship with Death in the Marvel Universe.

As far as Simmons goes.. from all indications, Devastator is on top of the pyramid/weapon and Simmons is trying to get coordinates for everyone to coordinate attacks on the weapon. If the weapon is absorbing solar energy and explodes and Devastator is on top of it, go figure.

Just some theories btw.

The only way I'd be fine with Simmons killing Devastator or whatever is if Simmons dies as well.

Now, reawakened by the arrival of the war on earth, he decides once again to enter the fight - This time on the side of the Autobots and this time to end it for good, whatever the cost .

The packaging also confirms that Optimus Prime does indeed combine with Jetfire, but the image of the combined mode has been blacked out.

I always saw Jetfire as a veteran autobot with the voice of Sam Elliot ...
So this is a big plus... too bad Sam is not voicing him...

I still can't help but think that the Jetfire element could add a bit of depth to the plot, which is kind of odd for a Bay film, shallow as they are.

Why can't a robot have a cane? If he was in battle and got hurt with no medic bot to do repairs; he would have to do something to keep mobile. If Ratchet wasn't around for Bumblebee he'd still be using the towtruck as a wheel chair.
