News: Welker officially cast as voice of Soundwave

Writer Rob Orci has confirmed Frank Welker, the original G1 voice of Soundwave, will reprise his role. Nice little nod to the fans, but it's great that he is finally involved.

I'm glad that Bay is giving Welker some respect. As I've said before, Welker deserves a role in the film franchise just as much as Cullen did.

And in other voicing news, sounds like Leonard Nimoy would be happy to lend his voice to a TF in RotF. Bay has also stated that he wouldn't mind using his voice. It's a great idea, but I wouldn't mind if they held on to Nimoy for the next film with the chance that they bring Galvatron into it.

As far as I'm concerned, Nimoy has the perfect voice for the Fallen. So here's hoping Bay asks him.

That's actually what is beginning to worry me a little. He hasn't been shown on any of the promo materials. Hell, has anyone even seen a picture of what he looks like other than the toy? Even when those hi res bot pics came out a couple of weeks ago, there were none of Soundwave. Beginning to think that he is just going to be tossed in there so that Bay & co. can say that they did him.
