Freakin excited to have my very first IMAX experience with ROTF!..but help me out with this - do the regular scenes fit only a portion of the screen and not the whole? and when the scenes shot with the IMAX camera are shown, do they suddenly fill-up the whole gigantic screen, without proper transitions?? sorry for this, i'm having trouble comprehending the conversions being used for films being shown on IMAX - were the regular non-IMAX scenes shot at a regular 35 or 70mm? and then have them converted/blown-up for imax?..aaah!

Sorry guys,Don Murphy deleted the thread. The poster said Jolt doesn't do much and that the feud with Megs and Screamer would make fans smile, and he also said Arcee doesn't die and that the Fallen is cool. Soundwave's voice is not synthesized. What he is saying is true, the poster,a moderator from Bay's site hooked him up with a ticket,Sora. Nelson from shootfromtheedit seems to be the reason that Don Murphy deleted the poster's thread. Welker doe's the voice of Devastator but only has one line,Tony Todd is the voice of the Fallen.
About time we got the feud!
If this is true, then I'm going to have a heart attack in the theater. I didn't think I could enjoy any movie in the theater more than TF1 :D

I'm going to bring calming pills

Not sure if anyone can shed light on it but whats the deal with the whole Grindor bot that looks like Blackout, is it Blackout or not? Man Bay sure knows how to confuse and audience, first give the tank the wrong name then bring back a character and give him a new name or have a new character that looks just like the old one and give him a new name, whatever the case may be it still has me puzzled. And is it still in talks that Sideways "could" in fact be a reworked Barricade?

I believe he is called Grindor, he is a clone of Blackout.
Not sure about Barricade being Sidways.

Yea I guess the clone thing would make sense actually, instead of going out and finding the helicopter to scan, the new protoform decepticon could just scan Blackout's body and have a perfect match i guess/maybe/who knows.

Maybe Grindor is to Blackout what Skywarp and Thundercracker were to Starscream in the cartoon.

Why don't all transformers scan the same thing as Megatron? That way they are all strong?

The whole scanning thing is kinda ridiculous but still necessary

What Megatron scanned is not what makes him strong.

If ,lets say Bumblebee, scaned a tank or a jet plane he would still be relatively the same strength.

not all transformers are the same size so they need to find porportionate vehicles. like jazz could in no way be a peterbuilt truck, he had to be a crappy little pontiac solstice. that's the whole reason they need to scan vehicles first.

The scenes shot on regular film will be blown up to IMAX in a letterbox format (black bar at the top and the bottom of the screen). Any scene shot with an IMAX camera will fill up the entire screen (without any black bars). Its gonna be just like watching TDK in IMAX. I can understand your excitement. I already ordered my IMAX Transformers tickets online for June 27. I think its gonna be the best movie to look at in that format.

That was the excuse Bay gave us, and the he turned around i had Scorponok, who's alt mode is a giant Scorpion. :o

Actually, he forms one of Blackout's engines.

Look at his toy. He's a robot. His ALT mode is the scorpion mode; his toy bio states that he chooses to stay in his Scorpion mode all of the time. I'm not debated whether or not he's Blackouts engine, cause he's probably a triple changer since Bay's TF's can 'morph'.

I will be seeing this in IMAX now. I ain't been to an IMAX showing in like three years, I even skipped out on TDK. There's a theatre in Portage, Indiana that's like a half hour drive as well as one at Navy Pier downtown Chicago, so I gots to see which one will have more showtimes. Bay saying Optimus will appear to scale in real life in some of the scenes, that already has me hooked.

Everything is normal there are no black bars, the only difference is when it's shot with an Imax camera the quality is insane. Crystal clear. Couple of the city scenes in Dark Knight were in Imax cam and I saw DK in Imax, the shots were incredible.

From what I've read from people who've seen the premier in Japan, he looks like Blackout but is never referred to as Blackout.

Look at the bottom of the page, he's an engine/

Rumor has it that it's Blackout, and they called him Grindor to not spoil his return. But who knows?
