I think it's already been pointed out, but why can't Mikaela be a positive role rodel? She's one dimensional, but she sticks by her friend/lover, cares about more than looks and prestige, cares about love, obviously didn't jump right into bed with him, cares about his loyalty, and she's pretty damn brave and loyal, and not, in this movie or the previous one, a complete pushover or a ****. She's just hot. She's also good with cars, which quite frankly is a fairly impressive skill to possess, especially at such a young age.
What's there not to like about her a person, really, beyond the fact that she wears short shorts?

Yes, Mikaela is a very strong, brave woman. Not the 'damsel in distress', which can be ****in' annoying.

First movie: Sam gets attacked by Frenzy, she cuts his head off.

Second: Sam gets attacked (again) by Alice and she runs the ***** down.

She's his bodyguard just as much as Bumblebee is.

Again from the first movie: When she's got Bee on the tow truck, she could've kept driving away, but did she? No. Instead she thought, "Let's take this mother****er down," and went right back into the fight.

That is so damn sexy.

I just don't give a damn anymore these days in regards to what the media thinks and talks about Fox. A lot of it is just so ridiculous that I just laugh it off.

I just saw the movie tonight here is my thoughts/Review. Warning Maybe Spoilers

Well by now everyone should know the story of the movie some I am not going to bother writing a synopsis lol. First I will say that the special effects are awesome the Atuobots and Decipticons all look Stunning! They feel like real characters. The action scenes were great as well the Forest Battle being EPIC and Bumblebee OWNED! Now some people complain about the story but I thought it was decent for a action movie. I did not find it to be convoluted or anything like some people complain about. I mean if you want a confusing story look at Pirates of the Carriabean at Worlds end uggh. I mean I read all the prequel comics and the prequel novel and the movies novel so I was not lost. Plus Horror movies have paper thin stories but people dont complain about that for some reason.

I loved the relationship between Megatron and StarScream in this movie it was a great nod to the cartoon. Also Optimus really showed his power in this and proved WHY he is the great Autobot Leader! I like the fact the new Autobots were in the movie but was dissapointed about how little screentime they had. I mean Ironhide, Rachet, Arcee, Sideswipe or Sideways (can't remember which one was an Autobot) really should have had more screentime instead of the twins. Now The Twins issue I am black and I did find them to be sterotypes of the tradtional Ghetto Thugs. But they were not overly racist or intended to be racist. The sold out theater I saw it in laughed at every scene they were in. But they really should NOT have had that much screentime.

The movie did have some plot holes and WTF momments like the dogs humping and both of them are boy dogs. Wheelie hummng Mikaelas leg, Simmons ass, Devestaors balls (nobody laughed at Devestaors balls). Also Wheelie went MIA all of a sudden and how did Jetfire burst a wall in the Museum in D.C and then they are in a desert plane graveyard? I thought that Leo was not really needed he was funny at first but he started to wear out his welcome ( Sam, Mikaela and Simmons was enough) and Lennox and Epps didnt get much to do either. Also it seems like the Fallen was weak or afraid of Optimus because he didnt join the fight until after Megatron killed Optimus whats up with that lol. I may be missing some but all that aside I still found myself to be enjoying the movie. A

Now some people complained about the humor. It didnt bother me too much I mean these movies are meant to entertain so humor was not a big deal. Some people may not like Bay's humor but the sold out theater I was in burst out in laughter at every joke. But the language is maybe too much for little kids one mother and her son walked out. I mean one of the Twins did call Leo a Pu$$y. So yea the humor may not be to everyones liking.

The final battle went a little quickly and it was a little hard at times to know who was being shot etc. But I still liked the final battle even though the Fallen got owned easily.It was also nice to see Optimus get some payback and kick Megatrons butt. I am mad the Arcee got blasted though! One thing I was hoping to see that was in the novel but not in the movie was Megatron going back to his ship on Cybertron and readying the new Army of Decpticons.

Overall I enjoyed it and I give it a Solid 3 out of 5 stars! I was entertained through out the 2 hour and 30 min run time and I look forward to seeing it again Tommorow night! The sold out theater gave a thuderous applause at the end of the movie me and my friends all gave the movie some love lol. IF you dont over analayze every aspect of the movie and take it for what it is a action popcorn flick then you might actually enjoy it as well!

Yay!! I can't wait to see the movie again later on today,I hope alot of people who posted in this thread ranting about the movie one too many times have finally gave up for good and moved on away from it. Oh and I love you too Guard,but in a non fruity way.

I prefer women who have a lot of junk in the trunk so I'm not really attracted to either. I prefer voluptuous women like Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Lopex. I guess it's a black male thing because I've never been attracted to skinny and thin women.

Saw it, thought it was ok, Jetfire was more annoying than Skids and Mudlap, needed more Ironhide and Ratchet, Sideswipe should have been more of a presence, and the Fallen may have been the worst excuse for a villain I've seen in a long time.

TF was the anti-movie. Images and sounds and relentless wall to wall CGI thrashing and flailing and bludgeoning and writhing all over the audience is not a movie.

I wholeheartedly agree.
I wonder what exactly is it that they Bay can do. Because even his claim to fame, that is non-stop action seems bland in comparison to other movies.
Terminator Salvation was tons better in this respect.

TF2's action once again is too chaotic to make any sense out of it. Only Optimus and Bumblebee are recognizable robots the others are just a bunch of gun-metal globs of pixels with unnecessary gears and what not poking out.

There is a scene where Megs and 'Scream are standing on top of a building and I swear I could not tell which was which. The Decpticons are worst in this respect because all their faces look the same.

The fights are shot too close and so when they grapple it's all incomprehensible and headache inducing. Also, way too much slow-mo.
The last one hour climactic battle was a pain to watch.

I'd comment on the story and plot but since most positive reviewers will tolerate anything then what is the point.

I do have one positive comment though. I am thankful Jetfire was more more like Clint Eastwood's character in Gran Torino than Grandpa Simpson. That's the great thing about him. In every interpretation he is likable.

Any kid in their right mind would be depressed and agitated by the film.

No one over the age of 25 should find this film enjoyable. If they do then they have the taste of 12 year old.

Pros:

- humans and autobots hunting decepticons side by side in shanghai was cool

- The depiction of Optimus was noble and accurate

- Robot heaven was cool

- The audience enjoyed the comedy

- Arcee's design was inspired

Cons:

- Bay doesn't know how to do extended battle sequences. The long Egypt battle simply dragged on and on.

- Arcee and Soundwave were underused. Why the hell did soundwave sound like Dr Claw instead of Soundwave???

- The army commercial -er I mean army scenes were dull.

- The matrix of leadership was kind of wasted. I think it works better as an Excalibur-like litmus test for leadership that is passed down generation to generation containing ancient wisdom. Here it was simply a key even though having Sam earn it was a nice touch.

- The Optimus death scene was wasted. It's like the Autobots didn't even care he died. They should've been the ones to recover his dead body out of respect.

- Optimus should always have his battle mask on during fighting. It complements the stoic aspect of the character.

- The designs for Jetfire and the Fallen were complete eye sores. Surely they can come up with something better than they did.

- Destroying the sun for energon was Bay's way of avoiding the environmental message that would come from taking energon from the Earth...Weak.

- The forced Obama bashing and military brown nosing was lame.

- There has to be way to make Cybertron look beautiful, futuristic, and wondrous. It looks like a burnt car engine and very boring to look at.

- It needed action scenes that had high replay value (like Terminator 2) not just random smashing and shooting over and over and over.

- The gesalt design for Devastator didn't work for me. Gesalts are game changers because they're gigantic warriors with access to immense raw power not because they suck things like a vacuum. Hopefully we see bi-pedal gesalts go toe-to-toe in city-leveling battles in the sequel.

If Bay fixed the busy or blackened design of half the Transformers, gave Cybertron more screen time and made it a magnificent alien metropolis, and fixed the third act so it was compelling this movie could've gotten an 8 but as is it gets a 6.5

This movie made Transformers 1 and Armageddon an Oscar-worthy film.

I don't know about the rest of the members here who found this film "AWESOME", "KICKASS", "LOVED THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MEGATRON AND STARSCREAM" but huge explosions and top notch CGI doesn't make a movie good and watchable. Despite of the non stop action this film shows me I found myself yawning at the middle of it all. I'm at early 20s, but I just couldn't stand the visual and audio assault it does to me. A film should have a moment where it let your mind work, lets you think. But never in this film a moment like that exist. What it does is it just hurts your eyes with the dizzying shaky cam technique and CGI and make your ears bleed with thunderous booms and annoying whines. I've never care for any of the characters, humans and robots alike. I would prefer Terminator Salvation over this piece of mess.

So no Mr. Bay, making a film about a winery in Southern France is not that easy to make.
