I think my brain is bleeding out my eyes. Easily one of the worst things I've ever heard. If the movie is like this track -- and all indications is that it is -- well then that is going to be one crappy movie.

The song is terrible. Wrong voice doing chorus, with plenty of echo I might add. A ten year old could play those chords. Terrible drums, way too much time with the cymbals. The spoken/rap crap. And drop that ridiculous high pitched keyboard/synthesized crap that floats over the whole song. If its the second song in the credits, where nobody is going to hear it, then thats where it belongs. A song for this movie needs grit, someone who can keep a killer pace on drums, generally low on the scale, plenty of base guitar, maybe some rough techno elements, and some real growl to it. What definitely does not fit the huge scale and intensity of these characters is a bunch of skinny genera-rock children who sound like they're playing in a tin can with their dad occasionally rapping over them.

I think they could take a somewhat new or unique song/sound that already exists and decide to just own it. Similar to what the Matrix films did with Rage. And I think just about any lyrics consisting of the classic lines are going to come off as cheesy.

If I could build a Devastator like super group to match the action of this movie I'd have Tom Morello's twisted wizardry on guitar, Les Claypool's genius on Base, Vinnie Paul on drums, with Maynard doing the writing, composing, and making any instrumental additions he felt necessary. And you might as well throw Rick Rubin in there to help production along.

Of course we'd be just as likely to get Hendrix returned from the grave but theres no harm in wishing.

I hope to God not, even being a Mike Bay movie, the trailers footage actually looks cool, I´m hoping it´s at least an entertaining flick, but if they play that song in it, I swear to God I´ll consider leaving the theater...
