Transformers: War For Cybertron Animated Series on Netflix

Having watched the new season, I liked it, but not as much as Season 1.

The flaws and edges of the budget are more prevalent.

Very few characters can actually transform and it's kind of annoying.

Optimus Prime is very inconsistent this season, and it's also annoying. Like make up your mind already.

OK c'mon. They are so cheaping out on the models, they couldn't even give Exhaust (aka Evil Wheeljack) his unique head from Earthrise? The new head at least makes him slightly more unique than being a Wheeljack palette swap.

What is the price ?
It's very common to recycle molds for new toys lines.

Earthrise was sadly a bit disappointing for me. The first two episodes were good and then it became a bit too overstuffed.

Yeah too much going on for just six episodes. Quintessons, the Nemesis, Elita's mini rebellion, Autobots lost in space, the Cybertronian mercenaries, they needed like twice as many episodes and more money to actually have transformations for the other characters.

Also, Optimus was so fickle this season. Like make a decision already. Dude could've just killed Megatron and then goes on a monologue how he doesn't want to kill Megatron but has to, enough already.

I really hope Kingdom ends on a high note, because I was pretty bored most of the time. The dialogue, pacing, some of the voice acting, certain characters being underused, etc. And of course, Optimus’ arc and voice sucked. Plus, the trailer spoiled a lot.

Positives were Megatron’s arc, Elita, most of the voices, especially Jetfire, Starscream, Elita and Megatron. Mercenaries were fun with what little they had, also the Decepticons using the arena for their plan was cool. Really enjoyed episode 5 and the ending as well!

Action sequences were a mixed bag, same with the animation.

But next season, Beast Wars!!! Bummed out that they won’t be using the original voices, though.

6 or 7/10.

I think the this will be your destiny part with Megatron and Galvatron was more interesting than Prime's, which seemed to drag on forever with him spouting out random ''Alpha Trion said this and that'' nonsense.

Not sure I'll be as interested when Beast Wars influence comes around in Kingdom. I just never got into it.

Finally got around to watching the second season and man you guys were not kidding about the inconsistancy of Optimus Prime's arc. I almost wanted to smack him a few times just because he couldn't make up his damn mind about how to deal with Megatron and that was super annnoying IMO.

I liked this season enough overall, but last season was way better and it felt like none of the characters really shined as much this season. Scorponok was kind of cool, but all it did was make me more excited for Beast Wars and I wish the Quintessons had been used more as well.

I'm pretty hyped for Beast Wars though.

I think it's fine if you want to make Optimus a flawed leader, but **** he actually MONOLOGUED rather than just kill Megatron.

And then Cog walks over to him all shocked, "Optimus what are you doing?!" They made it seem like a little kid caught his mom smoking pot or having sex with someone who wasn't his dad.

The animation and character models don't look all that bad, but I mean barely any use of the weaponizers. Barely any use of transformation and half the cast doesn't even transform.

Also why come to the conclusion to return Allspark to Cybertron. That's the last thing they want to do at this point.

I liked the new season, (though it's not great) but I do agree with the comments about Optimus. This show sure makes him look like a bad leader. I would probably question his leadership if I was an Autobot...

There was a lot, probably to much, covered in the episodes some was thrown in a little weirdly like Galvatron, and the Unicron blip. Feel like there was a lot more to explore with the Quintessons, Mercenaries, what Prime left behind on Cybertron, and other aspects.

I did like the first few episodes a lot. Megatron has gotten some really great development. If they're going Beast Wars, and I sort of hope they're not, Dinobots sure but Optimus Primal seems a bit much. Seems clear though that the Dead Universe is setting up all the other shows as a multiverse.

I feel like the Galvatron subplot had a similar storyline in the Marvel UK comics.

For whatever reason it looks like they went with a non-union cast for this series. It's unfortunate, but Netflix wouldn't give them a bigger budget for this show.

Sort of like when Rescue Bots became Rescue Academy they got rid of all the original actors. All the returning characters were voiced by soundalikes. Guys like Steve Blum, et al were no longer on the show.

The showrunners said the voice actors for the BW characters were ‘phenomenal’ in an interview. I don’t doubt that they’ll pay homage to the original as some of the other voice actors are full on emulating G1, with some exceptions, most notably Shockwave. I actually like most of the voices, but a lot of them are just impersonations.

Just weird how Machinima’s Prime Wars had worse animation, storyline and also a lot of the dialogue/voice acting. On the other hand, they managed to snag quite a few celebrities/well known voice actors for the second and third chapters. Yet Netflix is the opposite.

Then again, all that didn’t save it by a long shot.

Just hope they get a better voice actor for Primal than Ron Perlman in Power of the Primes, and also hope the BW characters are treated with respect. That said, they’re going to have a lot to juggle with the Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, Predacons, and possibly Unicron.

Finally finished this last night, I enjoyed it but I agree it doesn't quite match the first season. They gave themselves a bit too much to cover and focused too much on stuff they didn't need to.

Was great to see Scorponok and Prime was certainly more of a bad ass this season in terms of action. I didn't mind his arc as much as others seemingly have. But Megatron has definitely had the better material in both seasons so far for me.

Never got into Beast Wars so hope we just get the Dinobots and thats in season 3.

It won't be the Dinobots. It will be DINOBOT and some fossilizers maybe.

Then I guess it's Grimlock we are getting.

I hope we see a but of power struggle between Megatron and the now stronger Shockwave also. As I really didn't like Shockwave as a snivelling weakling in the first season.

We are getting the Beast Wars character, Dinobot. Not the G1 characters part of the Dinobots. Completely separate.
