Victory!

So excited, Cillian better be back...
Yes, more Cillian
I must say, I am a bit confused by the support. I am definitely a fan of Tron Legacy, but it isn't the best of films. Paper thin in the story department, saved by the performances and visuals imo.

Joseph Kosinski himself admitted the story needed more work. Kosinski said he didn't have as much time as he wanted to work on that aspect of Tron Legacy.

The fact that he acknowledged the faults should give you hire hopes that he will rectify that in the sequel.

He didn't write the screenplay, but the story for Oblivion and directed it. Not that much hope.

Tron had its chance. Let it go.

Legacy was not as good as it could have been. The action sequences weren't paced well.

I kept hoping Quorra would reprogram Tron and we'd see him kicking ass. That's what I picture when I hear Derezzed.

COMICON note: I asked Bruce Boxleitner if they used the de-aging process on him in the flashback sequences and he said yes. So he did play Tron!

I think this will be the movie were Tron is a good guy again, especially after him realising who he was at the end of Legacy.

Wish Daft Punk would come back aswell. Really liked what they did in Legacy

Seriously. I still listen to that soundtrack a lot. One of my all time fave movie scores.

If they can't get Daft Punk back then they should get Nero or M83 to score the movie

Yeah M83 did a great job with Oblivion.

I was sooooooooooooo excited about this movie in 2010, but other than some cool visuals and awesome daft punk score, there was nothing in the movie. It felt hollow.

Still looking forward to the next one.

In retrospect, this perhaps shouldn't have been as surprising as it was. Shanghai's Disneyland is getting a Tron rollercoaster in place of Space Mountain and I think that probably should have been an indicator that Disney planned to do more with the property to keep it relevant.

I wonder how this will fare BO wise.

I feel that if you dont make a sequel withi in 4 years nowadays you might as well wait and do that long awaited sequel thing

Exited to see more Tron shots like this for the sequel.

I liked the visuals of legacy alot but the story was weak and the acting could have been better from hedlum and bridges. Weve been blown away by the visuals and that wont work the second time around so they will definitely need to beef up the story and stakes.

To me it wasn't even that the story itself was weak it was just paced weird and not handled wel. Since seeing it Ive been saying that it should've been a gladiator like movie and the focus should've been Sam rising through the ranks to eventually fight Clu 2.0. I wouldn't even have used Jeff Bridges/Old Flynn into the sequel. The Gladiator fights were cool, but really had little baring on the rest of the story other than letting Sam adjust.

Or they should've focused on the ISOs and then have the sequel focused on the fall of the ISOs

There is so much potential, but Im really nervous about Kosinski. He is a great visual director but his stories always waste a lot of potential

And I never got the complaint about the acting. I thought it was fine. Hedlund just needed more to do post entering the grid other than look surprised. The acting in the reunion scene was good

Yeah, these days you either do it after two years, or 20.

Pretty much

Im still really surprised this is going through. Disney should make an official statement.

Hopefully they greatly improve on the action.

There's no way that they were going to FINALLY do a Tron sequel and NOT include Jeff Bridges, wasn't gonna happen.
