It was for all of us :woot:

"If you don't stop screwing around, this is what I'm gonna do with you. (breaks pencil into two)"

Anyone interested in watching this, it comes on TNT @ 8pm this Saturday I believe. Check it out  if you're not familiar with it.

Last action hero has a better comedic ratio than true lies and it fits because it's a parody of itself and other cop based films.

Jack Slater is badass...

Not only that but the villain is better and the side plot of curtis being a secret agent drags slightly, perhaps they overplayed it a bit too much.

Last action hero is probably arnie's most underated film.

I always say that.....I think people don't get most of the time that its making fun of his films and other films like it of that era.

Oh and True Lies is up there, not sure if its the best but its close. I though both Die Hard and DHWAV both mixed comedy and action great, why are they not allowed?

Well I dunno, I could be wrong, and this could be strictly opinion. But I think the Die Hard movies focus more on action and thrills than comedy. I think it's title character is witty so we like him, and he makes us laugh sometimes. But I think True Lies is considerably different, Lots of action but it doesn't take itself too seriously and has lots of comedy in between, while Die Hard was more action, suspense, and then witty one-liners in between places. Just take out some scenes you remember form True Lies and try to insert them into Die Hard I don't think it would work, not the same tone I guess.

Yeah Mclaine's sense of humor is what does it for me and most of what makes Die Hard so great. I do see your point though about True Lies not taking itself serious.

I think I shot through puberty when I first saw Jamie Lee Curtis' strip scene :wow:
Nowadays she does commercials about yogurt that helps you go poopy :( .

I think of Die Hard more as an action thriller where the humour is just part of the character and is wry and cynical, as opposed to True Lies and Last Action Hero that are actual action comedies.

Yeah, Die Hard is not an action comedy.

Another reminder for those who may be unfamiliar with this film (I hope not)
