TV spot

Just saw the spot. I like some of what I see.

The cgi explosion does look better with debris in it now. Looks like the wife and I will be taking December 5th off to go to the first showing of the day.

They've clearly cleaned up the footage a bit. You can also noticably see it when he says "This is just the beginning". Before it was just a flood of green light (if I recall) and now, it has a more bluish tinge, and a light flickers across his face.

Plus, when he lights the torch, there is a higher, orangish illumination of the skull. It looks way better in my opinion.

So you guys have seen this on TV during an airing of WWE Smackdown?

Also, is it true that if a movie is R-Rated, it won't be allowed to be advertised until after 9 P.M.

It's been on Smackdown!, Cops, and America's Most Wanted. Maybe more stuff too, but the former three are the only ones I know about.

I expect a written retraction from you if the movie turns out to be awesome. :woot:

It was also shown during adult swim last night/this morning.

I said from the beginning I will. I'm curious on what my wife will think. she loves Tom Jane and was pissed when he wasn't coming back for this one.

Same 'ole ****. The lighting seems to have been toned down a bit though.

There's two of them. One does, one doesn't. Most of us haven't seen the one with new footage, because it isn't also on that website.

I notice that too.And after watching both tv spots,it look like they tone down the colors a little.I guess they did it in post:)

I need to start Tivoing random programs and hope I get a glimpse of some of these spots.

I'd be willing to guess a few reviews are going to start popping up online soon. That is if LGF thinks that they have a good movie and test screens it, another good litmus test for the film is if they have critic screenings. If not, then that is usually a bad sign.

The movie will be review by critics.:yay: Even the review be so so,because the critics don't really like this type of action movie(bloody and extreme violence etc)But who cares what they think:hehe::grin:

It will, but I'm talking about the studio allowing the critics to see the movie before it's released. That's typical a big sign that the studio isn't confident with it. It having bloody and extreme violence is no excuse to say that most critics will hate it, most critics, the good ones at least, like to watch movies of varying genres and if they don't like a certain film, it's because they think it's **** and not because of violence.
