    More here.

    UPDATE

In October of 2014 it was confirmed that Twin Peaks would be returning for a new season on Showtime. All episodes will be written by David Lynch and Mark Frost, and all episodes will be directed by David Lynch.

If you want to catch up with the original series, here is a handy guide:

The image doesn't mention it, but there is also a prequel movie, that should only be viewed after you've seen the series.

A couple of months back I remember reading something about Ray Wise acting in some kind of new Twin Peaks material. I wonder if this is it.

    Hmm...

Hmm... MSRP in that article is $109, but Amazon has $134.

I've never actually owned the series, so this is probably the best opportunity to get it. I've been wanting to rewatch it. And all that new material for Fire Walk With Me sounds like something worth watching. But that is a high pricetag. I'll have to wait for a sale or for the price to fall a little like I did for the Twilight Zone sets.

I actually still need to watch Fire Walk With Me. Netflix doesn't have it on instant and I have yet to locate a DVD.

It's a great film, but all I can say about it is: 1) Don't expect any real answers to lingering questions of the show, and 2) Expect more of a crazy David Lynch film than an Twin Peaks extended episode.

Yeah, it definitely has a very different flavor than the show. I really like it a lot though.

I requested my library to get Fire Walk With Me two years ago. To my surprise it actually came in, and I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only person to ever rent it from there.

I'm very interested to see what exactly the alternate international version of the pilot is. Anyone know?
The pilot is probably my single most favorite television episode ever.

It's twenty minutes longer. Lynch & co. shot extra footage to make it a work as a standalone movie in other markets in case the show didn't take off. A lot of the additional footage was edited into other episodes though, so you're not missing much.

If it was over seen by Lynch then I'm still extremely interested to see how it's been reedited. Thanks!

Sheryl Lee still looking good I see.

Also, Japanese buyers get a cool shirt with their purchases.

Never seen the show, but I love adore Blue Velvet. Should I just take the dive into the deep end?

Yes. Other than a dip in quality (some would say a nosedive, but I didn't think it was that bad) in the middle of season two, Twin Peaks is excellent and I think someone who is into Lynch's other work would really love it.
