Mystery/Thriller Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery

No matter what, I'm glad a lot of talent from this group were able to reunite one last time to create the final season.

Angelo Badalamenti's music is iconic. Rest in peace.

The Return is a movie, confirmed!

(Also very funny that FWWM is on this list as well, considering it was widely reviled when it came out. Lynch once again is vindicated.)

Fire Walk With Me is my favourite Twin Peaks. It's the most funny, mysterious, haunting and emotional the story ever was, all within a couple of hours. I guess I understand why people at the time were frustrated with it largely being a prequel, but it's aged like fine wine. The Return was wonderful too.

It's difficult, disturbing subject matter as well.

I agree the movie has aged a lot better over time. But I think it works best viewed collectively, along with The Missing Pieces deleted scenes, which is almost like a separate feature in itself and a great companion piece to Fire Walk With Me.

Probabaly isn't anything related to Twin Peaks, but...

It's going to be another season of The Cleveland Show, isn't it? :o

I really hope it isn't Twin Peaks related again. I want him to do other stuff as well.

It's probably a music video, his producer said that he has a ton of new music on the works.
Probably the safest bet. Seeing Lynch tease an announcement and jumping to the conclusion that it’s more Twin Peaks or a new film is just asking for disappointment.

Did this ever happen? Cause I want it.
Haven’t heard anything official yet, but Criterion releasing The Underground Railroad shows that TV isn’t off limits for them.

Only sharing this since it's about Lynch.

David Lynch Reveals Emphysema Diagnosis, Can’t ‘Leave the House’ or Direct in Person: ‘I Would Do It Remotely if It Comes to It’

David Lynch revealed in a new interview that he was diagnosed with emphysema and can no longer “leave the house” due to fears of getting COVID.

“I’ve gotten emphysema from smoking for so long and so I’m homebound whether I like it or not. It would be very bad for me to get sick, even with a cold,” he told Sight and Sound in the magazine’s September cover story (via the Independent). Lynch said he “can only walk a short distance before” he runs “out of oxygen.”

The legendary filmmaker behind such works as “Eraserhead,” “Mulholland Drive” and the “Twin Peaks” universe added that it’s unlikely he will direct again — but if he does, he would not be on set. “I would do it remotely if it comes to it,” Lynch said, admitting, “I wouldn’t like that so much.”

Damn sad to hear that.

Making my way through another rewatch and pondering how much of a gut-punch the episode with Maddy’s death must have been in 1990.

Even more thankful we got Twin Peaks The Return when we did. So many involved have passed since then, now not to mention its Captain.

Catherine Coulson, Warren Frost and Miguel Ferrer before The Return even aired
Peggy Lipton
Piper Laurie
Al Strobel
Kenneth Welsh
Angelo Badalamenti
Julee Cruise
Now Lynch too…

Hasn’t been a kind year to the Twin Peaks crew.

I'm very grateful they got to revisit the show and their characters one last time.
