I’m on the second season premiere in my Peaks rewatch and I’m really picking up on how ominous the score becomes when Leland comes in with shock white hair singing “Mairzy Doats”.

It’s kind of amazing to think anyone in the audience in 1990 ever thought it could’ve been anyone else that killed Laura. I guess they had the cover of him only just murdering her “killer”, but still.

Watching the post-reveal/pre-Windom Earle portion of S2 is always a little iffy, but there’s something very amusing about there being entire episodes where the only main character actually attending high school (in an ensemble cast with a number of teenagers) is a woman nearing her forties.
