To be fair he didn't like Iron Man 2 or Agents of shield
Just got home. What a long day. I haven't slept since I woke up Friday morning. I went straight to the Javits center after I got of work, around 6 AM. After 10 hours of waiting outside, and another 5 hours of waiting inside (with fun red carpet shenanigans thrown in) we FINALLY saw the film after 9pm... but first...
Jackman, McAvoy and Fassy surprised us all by popping into our theater. It was such a wonderful surprise. The three of them are just the coolest set of actors around. They intro'd the film and the rest is hard to describe.
X2 has not only been my favorite X-Men film, but one of my all time favorite films in general. I love First Class, but I never thought it came close to what was magical about X2... I have to say, I saw X2 when I was 12 or 13 and it CHANGED MY LIFE in the same way I think Star Wars or Indian Jones changed the lives of previous young nerdy generations.
Well, DoFP may be the sequel to that movie, and oh what a sequel it is. I won't spoil anything (don't ask me to... not even PMs) but I just have to say I had one of the best experiences I've ever had in a theater tonight. So many details about X2 that I loved... things that never returned after X2, they were all back and better than ever. You can probably guess some of the things I mean. It just helped set my mind at ease.
This is a massive film and it's told with massive grace, heart, sincerity, humor, and character.

IdiotMatt Conti ‏@Cinebro So Godzilla is so good I'm seeing it again at the midnight premiere instead of the screening of DOFP I'm scheduled for.
And...I'm done trolling twitter. Seems like that place will be spoilers-a-plenty after tonite's screening.Cindy T ‏@hula_doll 44m For the ladies interested in seeing X-Men DOFP: [BLACKOUT]Shirtless Michael Fassbender & Hugh Jackman naked butt.[/BLACKOUT] Thank you, @BryanSinger.
