Days of Future Past Twitter Reactions/Early reviews by fans THREAD

Not sure if this is legit:

@BryanSinger just gave a master class on the super hero movie. X:DOFP holy wow. #xmen #xmenpremiere #XMenLive #DOFP pic.***********/TzMxDABc8n

Posted right before 12 midnight (?) Eastern.

Edit: I just read another tweet posted about 2 minutes before this one, from another tweeter, that mentioned he just finished watching DOFP so these two might have been at the Premiere.

I wonder what the 3 hypsters, that we know of, that went to the premiere thought of the movie.

Ooooo [BLACKOUT]Len Wein[/BLACKOUT] cameo.

Admittedly I actually didn't know what he looked like. Though [BLACKOUT]Chris Claremont[/BLACKOUT] also cameos.

agreed. at this point most of these beaming positive "reviews" are coming from superfans. A few days before release? That's what i am interested in.

Nerd Truth ‏@NerdTruth

#XmenDaysOfFuturePast combines what was best of #Xmen #X2 & #XmenFirstClass & totally redeems #X3 #XMenLive Did I mention #Quicksilverrocks

Yeah, which is why I did say it's super early on and whatnot . But those aside, it seems like we're getting other positive reviews in from the premier which is awesome!

More from that guy:

Nerd Truth ‏@NerdTruth Wow just wow. #X-MenDaysofFuturePast was soooo much better than I expected. Did I say wow already #XMenLive #Quicksilverrocked

Nerd Truth ‏@NerdTruthhttps://***********/NerdTruth/status/465356089790570496 #XmenDaysOfFuturePast was so damn good. Really surprised us. U need to see it! #Xmen #Xmendofp… http://instagram.com/p/n2BT9BhxBg/

Just got home. What a long day. I haven't slept since I woke up Friday morning. I went straight to the Javits center after I got off work, around 6 AM. After 10 hours of waiting outside, and another 5 hours of waiting inside (with fun red carpet shenanigans thrown in) we FINALLY saw the film after 9pm... but first...

Jackman, McAvoy and Fassy surprised us all by popping into our theater. It was such a wonderful surprise. The three of them are just the coolest set of actors around. They intro'd the film and the rest is hard to describe.

X2 has not only been my favorite X-Men film, but one of my all time favorite films in general. I love First Class, but I never thought it came close to what was magical about X2... I have to say, I saw X2 when I was 12 or 13 and it CHANGED MY LIFE in the same way I think Star Wars or Indian Jones changed the lives of previous young nerdy generations.

Well, DoFP may be the sequel to that movie I've been waiting for, and oh what a sequel it is. I won't spoil anything (don't ask me to... not even PMs) but I just have to say I had one of the best experiences I've ever had in a theater tonight. So many details about X2 that I loved... things that never returned after X2, they were all back and better than ever. You can probably guess some of the things I mean. It just helped set my mind at ease.

This is a massive film and it's told with massive grace, heart, sincerity, humor, and character.

PS: Avoid spoilers at all costs. 2 weeks left guys. Make it worth the wait.

I'm very happy to hear this...sounds like all the naysayers will be put in their place :D.

Oh man, that is all I've been waiting for in another X-men movie, something just as good or even better than X2.

This is why I always loved reading your posts, as we are of the same mindset that X2 is the upper echelon of filmmaking.

Really glad you liked this one. I'm still apprehensive and nervous about if I'll like this one but less so now after reading your post.

Btw, you and Danny saw it in a different theatre than the one posted on Instagram?

We were at the red carpet event, then went to a separate theater.

Cool, I think Danny mentioned AMC?

The theatre that they set up at the Javitz Center had seats that looked mighty uncomfortable so it was probably for the best :oldrazz:

Matt Conti ‏@Cinebro So Godzilla is so good I'm seeing it again at the midnight premiere instead of the screening of DOFP I'm scheduled for.
Idiot :)

Cindy T ‏@hula_doll 44m For the ladies interested in seeing X-Men DOFP: [BLACKOUT]Shirtless Michael Fassbender & Hugh Jackman naked butt.[/BLACKOUT] Thank you, @BryanSinger.
And...I'm done trolling twitter. Seems like that place will be spoilers-a-plenty after tonite's screening.

The one at the Javits was the one the celebrities were headed into. I didn't even know there was a theater there. We had to bolt to the regular theater on 34th St. (and thanks again JP for letting me leap into your cab)

It honestly felt like...remember how bummed everyone was about where this series was headed after X3? This is going to fix all of that.

Some of the reviews are using the words Mind-blowing is that really fitting?

I don't want to overhype it at this point. But it's fantastic. Just go expecting a great X-Men movie.

And yes, Quicksilver is terrific. I think he got some of the biggest laughs at our showing.
