Fight!
U mad bro?
Fight!
It is my opinion yes but me saying it's a barbaric sport and that I don't understand the legality behind it or why people love to watch it is criticizing people who like it? It only started to get funny in here when some people minimized their Tapout ordering screen to bro rage. All sports have a legion of crazy fans. It's koo. I have said the end in here like twice but people keep replying. I don't understand how competitive eating is a televised sport or why the **** anybody would do that so if you love competitive eating don't send me decapitated hot dogs in the mail. We all don't understand every single sport in the world and we all think some sports are completely pointless or dumb. It's the very nature of having an opinion but I am sure you understand that so I apologize for belaboring the point. My point still remains. It's your opinion. Either you like it or don't. It's legal and regulated. If you don't like it, don't criticize others who do.
Mad enough to fight to defend thine honor? Nah. We can duke it out in Halo or Red Dead if you want. I am not very good at either so I require a 1 minute head start.U mad bro?
Two men trying to knock each other out is barbaric and people cheering in the stands for it to happen is barbaric.Thinking a sport is stupid, or not understanding the point of a sport, is not the same as terming a sport barbaric, especially since "barbaric" as a descriptor has plagued that sport in the past, and might continue to.
If you think a sport is pointless, then educate yourself. Education is the inverse of ignorance, no?
No one says you have to like MMA. Are some people turned off by aspects of MMA? Sure. Some by the violence. Some by the sight of blood. Does that make them not like it? Sure, that might be the case. And I've met lots of people who don't like watching MMA who don't think it or refer to it as barbaric, and who can, at the base level, appreciate the athleticism and/or skill it takes to compete in the sport.
That it is a sport and driven by competition and, yes, honor and appreciation - and yes, that applies even to the occasional grudge matches, because after the fight is done and there's a winner and a loser, the two people inside understand they are still human beings and bound together by that human condition - and bound by rules and regulations to safeguard everyone involved, it cannot be barbaric. All those things defy barbarism.
That's the point. You assume a sport is barbaric and pointless because of its fans. That's not true at all.
Take, for instance, the Japanese crowd for the K-1 and MMA bouts. During the PRIDE days, MMA was apart of the culture. The fans were not uneducated drunken morons. The Japanese respected all aspects of the fight, and every fighter that came out to compete (I never heard a single boo).
Personally, I don't care what your reasons are, but, at least, have the common decency to respect it. I, myself, dislike NASCAR and Pro-Wrestling, but I respect the men and women who participate. It's their craft.
not sure what your beef with him is, but i personally find him a funny dude and aside from his psychedelic talk he always keeps it real. some people might think he's a *****e loser who smokes too much pot but i respect the guy for knowing his martial arts and keeping things real.Anyone else who said what Joe Rogan said in that video would be right, but it's Joe Rogan and he should never be encouraged.

Okay, I think you're having a problem separating symbolism from facts. Let us attempt to aid you with this difficulty, good sir.Two men trying to knock each other out is barbaric and people cheering in the stands for it to happen is barbaric.
What do you think of the Roman Colisseum where people would fight to the death? Was it honor bound? I guess you could say that. Did it require skill and years and training? Yeah. Was the purpose of it to defeat the opponent to then be victorious and gain something? Yeah. Did people die? Yeah. Did spectators come out in droves and cheer when something violent happened? Yeah. Did people bet on the matches by wagering that the other person would lose? Yeah. So that wasn't barbaric? It was a spectator sport that was widely regarded as perfectly fine at the time and people idolized the gladiators. They were heroes. They were held as very high commodities and made a lot of people very rich. But of course it would be ignorant for me to say that it was barbaric right?
If me saying it's barbaric demeans a sport based out of violence then I apologize.
You're an animal.so that really tough dump I took after dinner is not 'barbaric'?
You're an animal.
You're an animal.
but boxing has been slowly limping along since the mid 90s now....I still watch as i enjoy the middleweight and welterweight divisions...but among the general sports watching populace, boxing isn't what it once was
can anyone even name the heavyweight title holders?
I am calling it now. MMA will fade out of the lime light. Its a fad. Come talk to me after its been popular for 100+ years like boxing, is an Olympic sport, etc
