Two-Face=Badass you are like a brother to me.
Thanks mate. That is, unless you mean the annoying brat brother who can't stop being a whiner, to which I would retort "you are!" :oldrazz:
For me, I'd go with a "period piece" Batman, set in a certain era, 40s or 50s, probably. Modern technology makes Batman harder to believe (well, okay, someone could say that "physics" made him impossible from the start). So no CSI-styled technology and all this stuff. Just mad scientists and their death-rays.

It just came to my mind that the Batmobile would've been much more useful in this era. Because back then there weren't as many cars around as today.
You are beautiful, you know that? This is easily THE idea I'd love to see made, most definitely. Plus you'd be able to fit in so much noirish style and classic foes like the Mad Monk and Hugo Strange in their natural setting. And death rays, lots of death rays..
I want to watch brave and the bold forever....
Fixed :woot:

i would like a series like core said above as well. a period piece Batman would definitly be cool in my book. I however would also like a modern/realistic Batman series.

well, but a realistic series set in our age is problematic. DNA tests, surveillance cameras, advanced scanners, reconnaissance satellites already exist and it's getting only worse in that department. I mean, if you think it through you actually have to deputize Batman in that era if you want to play it realistic. And I don't think many fans would want this.

*sigh* All this modern detective devices suck the romance and excitement out. :cwink:

I don't see it as problems but more as different things to explore. it would have to have Batman become more aware of his surroundings and new resources given to the cops.i would just see Batman breaking into secure police headquarters to confiscate the dna of his, while the whole mob underworld would be trying to do the same. the same could be like batman uses advance steath technology like that of a stealth bomber and can't be picked up by digital recorders, just adds to the mystery.
science only adds to batman doesn't subtract. he would just have to be much more aware that this is the world he lives in. hell I would love to see Batman's technology go bust and he has to do everything manually. also if it didn't work then Batman beyond would have been awful

Yeah, you're right! Because we're adults, and only death and gore and realism and darkness is suitable for adults! Shame on liking something fun, that's kiddy! It's not like fiction was ever meant to be used as escapism or anything, no, it was meant to be entirely believable and comics totally serious! I mean, how on Earth could a character who dresses up like a bat and calls himself Batman ever be fun?

where did i use the words "realism" or "darkness" or "gore"? maybe you should read the posts you try to refute

escapism is fine, its just some of us don't like the sci-fi angle of a supposed "crime-fighter", and some of us don't watch kids shows because we're not kids. And i don't think any of the people who are agreeing with you have actually read "golden age" comics

I agree with him and I've owned golden age Batman stories for over 10 years now thanks to the Batman Archives. The fact is sci-fi is a part of Batman sorry but this is the character who faced a mad scientist with his monster men and a vampire lord in his earlier stories.

Batman is not Paul Kersey, and even that guy had lots of fun in DEATH WISH 3.

i love batman fighting mad scientists...however I also want one where he is literally fighting crime.

oh and interesting post Jochimus you'd get my 3 bucks based on some of your ideas. Certainly more creative than "omg1! it should follow teh nolanz".

Well, to be honest, I didn't do much more than think of something that incorporated a little bit of everything from past versions and put it together in a way that wasn't the norm - there was a probably a little bit of Nolan guiding some things, but there's also acknowledgements to Adam West, too, and every Bat-incarnation in-between.

Any revamp should do away with the Red Hood origin for The Joker. I don't mind him alluding to some chemical accident and he should always be permanently white. But Batman should play no part in his creation, he should be just as clueless as us as to how this guy became this way.
In no way is The Joker supposed to be tragic, he would perhaps try and portray himself as such in an effort to win sympaty but the truth is that he does what he does because he enjoys it.
Oh, and get rid of his string tie. No more string tie.

IIRC the Red Hood was only "sympathetic" in "The Killing Joke", and even then the Joker's mental state puts the credibility of that origin in question; I know recently the B&TB cartoon had a more heroic version of the Red Hood/Joker, but that was in the Crime Syndicate's alternate-universe of that continuity. It's like the whole Jack Napier/Joe Kerr 'alias' thing - we don't KNOW who or what he really was before the accident, and frankly that's the way it should be IMO.

For my purposes, I imagined the Red Hood to be more like the way the pre-accident Joker was in the DCAU: a professional gunsel who keeps his true identity secret, for the fairly obvious reason that he's, y'know, a professional gunsel.

All I'm saying is that Batman should not be present when Red Hood falls into the chemicals. That way even this part is not set in stone.
By all means have Gordon talk about this character who fell into the bleach but don't have Batman be there or be, in any way, responsible for it.
I want The Joker's origin to be a complete mystery. For all we know, he could have just bleached himself.
It makes him more of an enigma, more of a mystery to the other characters.

The original Red Hood was a robber who wanted to make 1,000,000$ ("The Man Behind The Red Hood")

lol @ your av

"John, I'm not going to shoot you between the eyeeees."

I seriously watched that movie about as much as Burton's Batman back when I was a kid, which is a lot. Still the best thing Jeph Loeb ever wrote.

I want a real world modern day similar to Joker graphic novel, Chris Nolan Batman fil series, Batman Year One script, Bruce Wayne cancelled series and smallville with mix of noir/dectective work like early Bill Finger and Bob Kane Batman stories, Batman Nine Lives and HORROR/dark stories like Tim Burton Batman film series ,Arkham Asylum a serious hourse on serious earth, Frank Miller Dark Knight universe, Dark Moon rising(Man who laughs, Batman and the Mad Monk, Batman and Monster Men), Batman Long Halloween/Batman Dark Victory and stories featuring him like The Berlin Batman, Batman year 100, Superman Red Son and fan fics like http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1970510...ww.fanfiction.net/s/2444880/1/Ultimate_Batman .
This shows the origin of Bruce Wayne in the modern world in a crime drama/dectetive story/noir fashion. This is the first year and he is dealing with things like gangsters, corrupt cops and honest cops who both think he is a criminal/terrorist,gangs, the mobs, mad scientists, Realistic versions of his rouge gallery( Joker/The Joker killers is a mixture of TDK, the first two appearances of Joker, Joker in Batman #251, Frank Miller DKU, Brian Azzerello and Lee Bermejo Joker Graphic novel wearing make up and has a glassglow smile and goes be different names like Jack(naiper, nicholson, etc), Joseph "Joe" Kerr, Clem Rusty, Mr. Rekoj or goes by different actors who played him like Mark Hamill or Cesar Julio Romero, Jr. ,people who wrote or drew him like Bob Kane of famous criminals or people who wore clown make up like Kim De Gelder or John Wayne Gacy, Jr. and always leaves a joker card at the scene of the crime and annouces his crime before he commits it). Bruce gets his weapons from army stores, Wayne Corp and other buisness corparations he makes deal with. I agree with CaptainClown with batman uses advance steath technology like stealth bombers and batman having to have becoming more aware of his surroundings and new resources given to the cops.
