Ultimatum Begins!

Yeah I agree with you kguillou, Loeb completely disrespected the work of the other ultimate writers before him and he has lost all sense of story pacing. His characters are merely cardboard copies of the 616 characters. I love the ultimate universe but I'm very dissapointed with how things are going now. Bendis and Millar need to jump in quick.

You're thinking of the Zombie Verse. Only half the residents of the Ultimate universe are cannibals.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

More gruesome (and perhaps strange) are the ginormous pustules on his arms, as well as what seems to be a rash.

Someone call Dr. House!

I dont care, that is still one of the best and most shocking/holy s**t moments Marvel has put out in some time.

When i first read it I thought he's infected with the Marvel Zombies virus just to **** up the Ultimateverse worse. It would make sense, it debuted UFF after all.

I'm really not to bothered by Blob eating someone. It was gross yes but if I remember correctly hasn't Blob threatend to eat people before?. What good is a threat if you can't follow through on it at some point.

In my experience, the Blob mostly just talks about how nothing can move him before someone moves the ground beneath him and laughs as he falls several stories.

But because of that helmet, his powers would be useless in stopping him.

Actually it was revealed in Ultimate Origins, when they first met, that for some reason Charles is unable to read Magneto's mind with or without the helmet.

I've liked the first two parts of this series but Loeb is going to have to put alot more meat on this story cause so far all we have are shocking moments with no character development. These hero's better be forced to make some tough decisions in the next 3 parts.

I don't like how they erased the whole xaiver proof hemet thing. If Charles is unable to read without the helmet then how way able to change his mind in the first arc

I'm actually liking this much more than ultimates 3, but the character development is lacking -- its just shock after shock (which reminds me of ultimates 1 and 2 where anything goes). But I keep having this feeling some things will never get answers like WHY Pyro was a bad guy and had to lose his hands! Etc. since characters dying with no time for answers (ie Xavier and Beast getting off-ed right after they return and same can be said for Nightcrawler and Jugs who just returned to the book and get off-ed)

Yes he has threatened and supposedly has done so before now.

If I remember, wasn't Blob introduced as a semi-sympathetic character in Ultimate. I thought it was even hinted that he only worked for Magneto because his daughter was being held captive. They never did go anywhere with that I don't think.

Yeah but Jeph Loeb can't read!

It was revealed that Liz Allan was his daughter. Liz became Firestar recently and joined the X-Men. So now her dad eats people...

Yeah, UXM continuity has had some definite FAILS. It's too bad that today's writers are so disrespectful to their readers and their craft that they can't even be bothered to keep continuity for 100 friggin issues anymore.

This is why I've gone from buying nearly 1000 comics in two years to almost stopping collecting completely (that and I've come to the conclusion that groceries are important).

Loeb is so terrible he can't even keep continuity between issues of his own book never mind between his and another writer's. I mean holy crap, Cap was fine at the end of Ultimatum #1, then #2 suddenly he's not breathing? WTF? I'm beginning to think that punching myself in the cock is preferrable to reading a Jeph Loeb book. How does this man get work let alone basically be put in charge of an entire line of books.
