Its clear Strucker is using his HYDRA soldiers/bases as expendable decoys. He probably expects The Avengers to win the battles because he knows what they can do compared to his grunts. Its all a way to keep them at bay while he does whatever hes doing behind the scenes.

*sigh* I love that man's arms

Hemsworth has to be on steroids or some type of performance enhancing drug, didn't he slim down for that Moby Dick film and now back to Thor shape.

Very possible, there is that 1 photo of him on set of Heart of the Sea and he looks skinny but in a lot of the set photos for the film he doesn't look terribly skinny.

Usually in my experience those on steroids looks really veiny and a bit sickly looking, (Hugh Jackman in Wolverine :sus) and Hemsworth has never looked like that.

Remember before scenes he would do a workout to get pumped making his arms look bigger than they are, but it certainly isn't a ridiculous claim

Didn't that finish filming like 6 months ago?
I think so. When you're on the calorie-restricted diet that Hemsworth was, you'll lose weight pretty fast. But the weight goes right back on as soon as you start eating normally or probably in big portions like I suspect Hemsworth said he would when filming ended. I think the perfect example of a large weight loss and then gain is Christian Bale, who got his weight down for the Machinist and then gained nearly 100 lbs in only a couple months for Batman Begins.

Well at least he has a child now if he is taking roids lol

Does anyone think we'll get news about Thor 3 on SDCC? After Hulk's future on MCU, I'm most interested in our favorite asgardian's franchise!

They'll have lots to discuss at SDCC. GotG, AoU, Ant-Man, Dr. Strange, and CA 3 but Thor 3 should get a little mention even if it doesn't have an announced date yet.

Yeah, I hope to get at least an update. A title would be nice (as long as it's a title that teases the plot a bit more than "The Dark World" did). Thor: Twilight of the Gods, Thor: The Surtur Saga, Thor: Ragnarok... something like that.

lol SEE he's a friggn busy guy!!! hahaha

A friend of mine has been on steriods on and of for ten years and has two kids, although I can't speak for the state of his testicles as I haven't seen those.

I hope it's just an awkward photo and Thor doesn't look that way throughout the film. Why mess with what worked? The positioning of the cape hides his delts, which makes him look weak. Delts are one of the biggest elements in making someone look imposing.

We were all a bit worried that Thor didn't seem to be doing much at the start of the shoot, but now it all seems to be Thor stuff.

Interesting that he is doing stuff in Sokovia, and it isn't just Hawkeye.

It is just an awkward photo. All one has to do is go look up paparazzi photos of him in April on Google Images. He was in full-on beast mode when he started filming.

On a side note, all I know is I hope Whedon gives him some tender loving care in this. He arguably had a very "lean" role in the Avengers, as it didn't do much in regards to advancing his character ...... and of course T:TDW had its flaws in that department too.

He needs someone to really give him a voice. Don't want to see him become that guy who just throws his hammer.

Now that the origin setup is over Joss can really give all the characters time to shine. That was probably right at the top of his "To Do List" with AOU.

The foreshortening on his right arm is kinda off. The perspective isn't quite right.
