I dont there was as much an improvement on graphics so much as the technical detial. The character models didnt look that much better than the first game but what really impressed me is the scope of this game. The environment truly feels epic and theres so much attention to detail. The wind, snow, fire, lighting, water are among the best looking in any game period. The animations and the way Drake and the NPCs react were very well done. I also love how colorful the game is. The first game had levels made made of shades of blue, green or brown but there's alot more variety to be found in this one. I definetly see it winning many awards at the end of the year for graphics and its technical aspect

Yea, this game popped so much more, visually, than the previous game and the previous game was visually incredible. Hands down this is the best game of 2009. Iv been saying this was going to be the best game of 09 since the first gameplay video was released, now after iv played it, im still right. Its the best game this year and possibly the best game on this generation of consoles.

Did I just kill [BLACKOUT]a freaking yeti[/BLACKOUT]?

Also, did anyone else flip backwards through Nathan's journal and see his chart of Sully's different expressions? :hehe:

Lol!

Yea i said the exact same thing. Is that what i think it is? Haha.

Yea i loved how the journal was more interactive this go round.

I just finished my 2nd playthro, bout to start my 3rd.

:funny: That part was nuts, very intense. Also I'm sure you were like me during that one moment scaling the cliff and there's a certain angle of Drake climbing, and that thing goes by. I went "Oh sh**!" *presses pause* :shock

Man, I'm one lucky bastard. The game was shipped on friday and arrived first thing monday morning. Loving every second of it.

It was good but one thing for me though is that [blackout]I dont think Nate and Elena have any sexual chemistry. She is more of a best friend material. His chemistry with Chloe oozed and I loved the beginning with them bc she seemed like a great match for him as a romantic interest. I dont see that with Elena[/blackout]

Anyways I just beat it and if I were to give it a score I would give it a 10. I never do that for games but this truly is the best of the best. It is right up there with some of the best graphics, story, gameplay, controls, sound, replay, etc... There arent many issues with it and those that are are kept to a very bare minimum. The single player portion is one of the best gaming experiences Ive ever played through. Ive only done a little of the multiplayer and thats very deep, fun and well done. This may not only be the game of the year but game of this console generation

The game is great, but that doesn't stop me from getting pissed off at certain parts. :argh: I'm in the village and have to [BLACKOUT]fight off a Tank, while guys are launching RPGs at me plus the other soldiers that accompany them.[/BLACKOUT]

I agree and disagree at the same time. Elena is better for Nate than Chloe is tho. Nate isnt the same guy he was before we saw him in Drakes Fortune. His relationship with Chloe seemed to only be sexual, while his relationship with Elena was much deeper. I loved Nates and Chloes sexual chemistry, but thats all they had, it wasnt any deeper than that. You knew from the minute Elena showed up that Nate wasnt the same guy Chloe thought he was. Having Nate end up with Chloe wouldnt have done anything for his character. Naughty Dog definitely made the right choice with Nathan Dakes character.

Id rather [blackout]Nate had been left alone than be with Elena. I see a brother/sister when they are together and any love they have isnt convincing enough for me.[/blackout]

Ah yea i just dont see that. There is clearly something there that carried over from the previous game. Naughty Dog made the right move.

I never
understood the Chloe/Drake couple to begin with and always thought Elena was the right choice. I didn't like how they never explained why Drake wasn't with Elena after the first game and we don't hear from her in the sequel then BAM! Elena just magically appears in Nepal without anyone else around but some cliche Camera man everyone knew would get killed. So even though I like the Elena/Drake couple I didn't like how it was handled.

The Chloe/Drake relationship was perfect in showing Drakes past. Drake obviously used to run with some shady type personalities and Chloe helped to highlight that. Its why him ending up with Elena was so perfect. Drake isnt the same individual he used to be.

But yea, it was a mighty large coincidence that he and Elena just bumped into each other.

Hmm. I like that p.o.v. Maybe I just needed to play another campaign and not on hard this time so that I can breeze through and pay more attention to the love story lol.

Haha deff man. I felt there was an absolute fantastic story there. Even on my 3rd run. The game is just phenomenal, top to bottom.

Ok, now it gets annoying. How often do I have blow **** in his face up to kill him!? :argh:

Nah, Joker was worse, since he barely did anything. All that power and you fought mostly goons. At least here the guy comes after you.

Between that guy^ and the other dude on the end of the train sequence I was getting really frustrated and impatient.

At least this game had a worthy boss battle. The one in Uncharted was rather underwhelming.

Well, I've finally finished the game and it was a blast.

It's funny, when the Sasquatch appared I wasn't really happy with the animations. I thought it moved too human and more like a guy in a suit ala Power Rangers. And what do you know, it was just a guy in a suit.

But I like the use of the supernatural element. I thought Sasquatches were too much, but I was happy when it turned out they were just some crazy, suped up humans.

Uncharted 1 I liked but it was over really quick. Both are kind of underwhelming but then again I don't know what I would like different.

The first thing that popped in my head was The 13th Warrior with Antonio Banderas when I first encoutered the sasquach. But I shrugged it off and believed it was real until that final boss guy revealed it was men and I was like "AHHHH 13TH WARRIOR 13TH WARRIOR I KNEW IT!"

I thought the
Sasquatch stuff was a bit over the top at first, but I didnt mind it so much. Actually the supernatural stuff didnt bother me as much here bc I was actually expecting it. It came out of left field in the first game. I liked how they handled the supernatural elements in this game with Chloe being a skeptic. I thought the final boss was going to turn into some type of powered up demon but they kept him human which Im glad they did

Was it just me or did anyone else feel reminscent of MGS IV while playing this? The environment in Nepal, [blackout]Resistance and villagers[/blackout] reminded me of the first act of that game

I think i liked the Navarro battle a tad more. I think it was the QTE fight at the end, but the Lazerevic fight was far less frustrating.

I dont think i minded the yetis. I was like im in Tibet, going after a crazy stone, sure i think there would be yetis in the area. But yea i liked finding out that the yetis were just humans using the power of the Chitamani stone.
