Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

The big guys you punch it out with. Every enemy faction had their own version of them. Really bad in terms common sense and gameplay. Then they used the new "chase" gameplay multiple time. It was great as [BLACKOUT]little Drake[/BLACKOUT], but then they used it at least two more times.
yeah, there's one where you're chasing talbot in some arabian city, and there's another where you're chasing him again [BLACKOUT]trippin[/BLACKOUT]

nope, but the whole concept behind it bothered the hell out of me. i thought it was gonna be the a big post-ending dlc... but it wasn't and there was none.
Dude it's brilliant. Don't worry about concepts so much. :woot:

That Citadel DLC was so much fun and I was smiling throughout. It really is a big thank you from Bioware and just a fun time.

I hope you get a chance FC. It isn't UC2, but it is still a hell of a lot of fun.
Agreed I hope you get to play it flickchick. U2 is the best of the series, but U3 is just as fun as Uncharted 1. Great games still even if surpassed by U2.
Thanks guys, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I played U2 on PSNow last month and it's probably my favorite game I've ever played. And since I also enjoyed the first one, I find it impossible to fathom that I wouldn't love U3 as well. These games are just my speed. I did have a slight concern that U3 wouldn't hit PSNow before U4's release, but with this delay I'm now quite sure I'll be all caught up by the time U4 finally hits. [/my silver lining] :woot:

I find UC1 to be great building block, with fantastic story and characters. But I always found the gameplay more then a bit frustrating. It is why I waited so long to play UC2. On the flip side, UC3 is a smooth as butter in terms of GP, even if it lacks the variety, pacing and quality set pieces of UC2.

Yeah that's how I feel about UC1. The puzzles were terrible. Not kinda interesting like how they were in UC2 and 3.

I will disagree with the set pieces thing though. I thought UC3 had way better set pieces (the plane scene is one of my favorite set pieces in film, tv or games). The plane, the sinking ship/ship graveyard, the desert chase were all great, and to me better than any of the set pieces in UC2. The story in UC2 was better, but I would say I like both of them about the same

But to each his/her own

Yup. uncharted 2 has the best story, and uncharted 3 has the best mechanics and level design (the post-plane crash level is amazing and you do practically nothing haha). The story in 3 isn't bad by any means, but it does have some holes that should have been addressed.

I just remembered that the Uncharted movie is coming out next year too. Probably wouldn't hurt for a little cross promotion even though the stories wont be the same

I guess that means filming's starting soon

yeah sussposedly last I heard they were trying to start early 2015...which is pretty much now.

If filming doesn't start by June Im gonna guess that the movie will be pushed back. I haven't heard anything about sets being constructed and they still don't have any of the cast

Haha, I'll believe that when I see it

a lot of game to be live action films are having development stagnations. there's this movie, the halo movie, the ME movie, the gow movie, the other GoW movie, the asscreed movie although that's had some casting news, the infamous movie, and probably more that's not coming to mind now.

:funny:
tbt, as entertainment franchises, ME and uncharted have a lot more in common than one may think.
Yeah they're both....................................................................[BLACKOUT]good[/BLACKOUT]!

But the Uncharted movie along with Assassin's Creed seem lke their making a bit more of an effort now, especially Assassin's creed

i did hear asscreed making some progress but uncharted has been dead in the water with news. for me anyways.

I'm not going to start anticipating these until one video game film really knocks it out the park. I do think ACreed might be a big step up from the dross that's come before.

yeah it's a shame there has never been a single movie based on a game that's been... 'good'

It's true, I have yet to actually like ANY video game adaptation. However, I really do get the feeling that video game films are about to enter their "golden age" like the superhero films have been experiencing for the last decade or so. They've got real talent attached to some of these upcoming adaptations, both in front of AND behind-the-camera, the latter of which is what has mostly been missing from previous adaptations.

How many upcoming game films are there (that you know of)? It'll take a while for the public to come round after all the crap they've been fed but once studios see a couple making big bucks everything will change.

The set pieces in UC2 have more variety and are more importantly, far more playable. The entire train sequence, the battle against the helicopters, the journey through the caves with Tenzin, sniping from the train car, trying to save the camera man, the truck sequence, and the glorious battle against the tank. Even the injured Drake sequence is awesome. They all aren't just walking abs story, they are varied battles. For my money, they are the best in the series. By a large amount actually.

This is becoming too much of a go-to for some studios though. They announce a date then suddenly it's another 18 months out the blue.
They need to stop prematurely announcing release dates. But that is the fault of big corporations and publishers pushing them to meet deadlines.

they never gave a solid release date for Uc4. all they said was 2015.

imo ND was making Uc3 with the mindset that they have to top everything in Uc2. because Uc2 became a surprise masterpiece. ND's always had a good track record, but it wasn't until Uc2 that uncharted became one of playstation's, and now playstation's biggest franchise.
