I made one for '08 and it did pretty well...so...since now we are away from the summer blockbuster season and into serious Oscar mode...what were some of the movies that didn't do so well commercially and/or critically...that you think desereve some extra props...

For me it would be Funny People...it was fairly well received but failed to bring in the moolah...I really liked it and connected to it...props to Judd for going 3 for 3!

Watchmen is the second best superhero film of all time, it needs to be treated as such.

A bold statement there...to me...yeah it was pretty good...probably the best outcome for such a film...

The Last House on the Left
Adventureland

Watchmen totally. One of the best Superhero movies ever and just a great movie all around. The direction was great and so was the cast.

It should be nominated for:

Best Picture

Best Adapted Screenplay

Best supporting actor: Jackie Earl Haley. I would argue that JDM should be too.

It won't happen but it should.

I don't see why, though.
He was good while wearing the mask, but without it, he lacked expression, imo.
I'd give the nomination for the Comedian actor, though.

We just completely disagree about Jackie Earl Haley's performance.

Watchmen
Last House on the Left
Funny People- Adma Sandler's performance

The Last House on the Left
Adventureland

Agreed.

Also: Anything For Her, Summer Hours, Public Enemies & State of Play.

I'll also go on the record as saying that My Bloody Valentine 3D was probably best slasher film of the year, and a far better 3D entertainment than Final Destination.

The Last House on the Left
The International
Five Minutes of Heaven
Broken Embraces

I've yet to see Last House on the Left. :csad:

For me, I'd have to say Terminator Salvation. Sure, the plot was a huge plothole and nearly all of the actors did a poor job, but I still thought it was enjoyable.

That sounds like a bad movie to me...but I get what you are saying.:cwink: I bash the movie endlessly and even I think that some overreacted. It's mearly a mediocre product not a terrible one.

first one that comes to mind would be the International.....
