Age of Ultron Update the costumes for THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON!

For Iron Man I'd like an updated briefcase/Silver Centurion version. The briefcase armor was my favorite one in all the IM films, along with the mark 7. Wish that it got more use than a 1 minute fight scene where it gets heavily damaged with one whiplash attack.

for cap, I say time to dust off the moth balls and bring back his USO outfit... I also liked his Avenger outfit, so that with his FA helmet.

The reason they are using the chin strap is because chin-strapless cowls didn't work in Avengers. You need something to anchor the helmet to the head, or else it just looks wrong. Note all the complaints about his Avengers costume, and how the vast majority of them revolved around his cowl.

The problems with his cowl had nothing to do with lack of chin strap.

They did have to do with the unavoidable side effects of not having a chin-strap, however. Such as the need to disguise the fact that it was a helmet attached to a hood, rather than an actual cowl.

Which is why it should have been a cowl to begin with. Or just have the cowl go under the chin rather than on it. Like so:

It's the opposite for me, giving him the chin strap makes him look boyish.

They haven't even tried it. And I don't want it translated "straight" to film.

They have tried and found that the chin strap works better for Evans. The really issue I think is because the helmet/cowl is so clean, they don't work well with the chin.

With Batman the cowl became the face. It has eyebrows and cheeks.

In the comics Cap's cowl is also very skin tight. So the artist cheat.

Pretty much. Plus the chin straps somehow accentuates Evans' own bone structure and makes him look manlier.

But he's wearing a helmet, thus in need of it to keep the thing from falling off his head. If they could find a cowl that'd work and looked good on-screen, I'd be all for it, but until they do, the helmet is a good substitute.

And the reason it *wasn't* a cowl, was because cowls don't work that way in real life. They couldn't get an actual cowl to look right in action, so they did a fake cowl that was really a helmet with a hood.

From what I can see it looks like a combo of The Winter Soldier costume and his classic. I like it a lot from what I can tell.

are you serious man. this post can't be serious. have you ever watched football in the past half century? The don't use chinstraps anymore.

I personally could care less I loved the avengers suite, tfa suite and both tws suites and what I see of this one I think I will love it as well chin strap or no.

The new Cap suit, IMO, looks excellent. I wonder if it will be as vibrant in colour as the previous one, though.

I loved the Briefcase Armor too, but it seems like if he's perfected the Mark 42 technology, it wouldn't be necessary as he can call a full-powered suit to him at will.
