Yeah, I'm sorry, but Black Widow's costume could never be too tight.
The costume was TOO TIGHT. Same with Black Widow. The costumes offered no movement and no definition to the muscles Evans has.
You think so? I think both Cap and Widow had less tight costumes than previously, Widow's noticeably so. I think Evans has even said that the Avengers costume provided a lot of movement that was lacking in the First Avenger costume.
Chris Evans said he liked the Avengers suit since it allowed much greater movement and he could do more of his own stunts. Only part he didn't like was the cowl since it was more integrated into the suit and not a removable helmet like on TFA suit.I think Scarlett's costume was less tight in Avengers than in IM2. Cap's Avengers costume looked way more form-fitting than the one in TFA though. Maybe the Avengers costume allowed for a greater range of motion due to it being made of a stretchier material and also the lack of heavy padding?

The only thing about the Avengers that really bugged me was it was sometimes childish in tone and Captain America's helmet looked AWFUL. Definitely update the costume, the concept designs in that book for the Avengers cap costume could be a good starting point but I might like to see a whole new direction in his costume. Same with Thor. This is an opportunity to totally change the look of Cap and Thors costumes just like Iron Man has done countless times
Really, if they just pad the Avengers suit (Keep in mind, the First Avengers costume was padded) and change the helmet a bit, he'd look fine.

I like it. Definitely not a bad mash up of the the 2 CA movie uniforms. Here is something that I quickly worked up.

Its basically a mash up of both suits. I kept the Avengers suit as the main suit, but I added in elements of his old TFA suit (boots, his shoulder pads, his original helmet). I changed the color of his belt because blue was stupid, and I made the grey just a tad darker on his shoulders, and chin strap. I also added a kinda faux scale camo pattern to his chest area. I was basically thinking they should keep the idea they had for the cowl, except go back to the strapped helmet, I unno I think it just defines his face better. What do you guys think? I tried making this as practical/tactical and form fitting/comic inspired as I could.
