That's like saying the 13 colonies would never become the United States of America, or the South would never unite with North after the civil war. The universe is huge and infinite. We seperate ourselves by petty oceans? What's so signifigant about what side of the border somebody lives on? They are meaningless, and irrelevant.

For the South, the South was kind of you know, forced to reunite with the North. They didn't come back to the Union willingly.

Eventually the human race will realize just as they realized the earth is not flat. I'm not the only person on this planet who desires world peace, and that is hope. Other people eventually will choose to do what's necessary to make it happen, out of fear of the alternative.

But as long as there is hatred, there will be no world peace.

What are you saying here? Murder is one of many of forms of naturally occurring population control...its human nature. Killing and violence and crime...it happens every second of the day. You don't think our laws, the world's laws and governments have enacted enough laws to make murder illegal? One world One Govt. won't solve that.

How bout this...if 21 is the legal drinking age in the U.S. then that will go for the rest of the world. Do you really want that? Thats the best example I can give...if drinking is banned and made illegal...or I'll go even further as to say smoking...then it will be illegal everywhere. There is no solution. We are only human...and the greatest gift we have all been given since birth...is free thought...if your free thought leads you to a life of crime and punishment...or wealth and happiness...it is of your own free will. No govt. will ever be able to prevent a person form thinking and acting out. Science, Religion, and Govt's have tried and failed. Its not a problem that can be corrected...and that conquest to try and do so will lead to the sufferring of billions of innocent people.

Does that mean that as long as their is hatred the north and the south would never have ended their civil war? hatred still exists today between Christains and non Christians in America. Between whites and blacks in America, and between Christains and gays. Yet a civil war is not happening.

you know what's preventing it? Look at Iraq. They have sh.ite dominated neighborhoods, sunni neighborhoods, kurd's neighborhood, and Arabs. They all live out a non enforced segregation.

In America we've been using social programs to mix up the neighborhoods. If we had a civil war, how would you know who to kill and who not to kill?

That person knocking at the door with a gun in his hand might be your ally or your enemy, or a guy from the enemy's side trying to reach out.

And we have a strong federal government, and we have a democracy. If one pary says they want to do something horrible to a certain group of people, then all the other party has to do is oppose it, and that would be mistreated group shows up in huge numbers to vote for the party that will protect them.

Even though the North and the South were two different cultures during the post-Civil War period, they were similar enough to reconcile and their hatred didn't last for generations.

A lot of hatreds such as the Arab/Jewish conflict has been going on for generations, show no sign of getting along, and are too different to join together. The Arabs in Israeli controlled territory hate being dominated by the Jews. The Chechens in Russia hate being dominated by the Russians. The Tibetans hate being dominated by the Chinese. The Russians in Moldova and the Ukraine hate being dominated by another power that isn't Russian. Too much difference.

Not only that when one hatred dies down, another one will take its place. It's a never ending cycle. It's why world peace is impossible to obtain as long as hatred exists and hatred will never be gotten rid of nor should it.

See i think that eventually many people in those countries will use these reasons as why they want to join up with the rest of the world. Many will see it as a chance to escape these dominaters. I would want this federal government to make sure everybody has the chance to maintain their culture and traditions.

I think if we first offered this, a signifigant part of the world would view it as conquering or the end to their way of life. I think that for a long time many countries would balk at the idea of joining up with us, but as time goes on and our economy keeps improving and they keep suffering, eventually they wont want to suffer anymore.

As of right now the vast majority of the people on this planet who would like to live in a country other than their own, would choose to come to America. As much as people hate us, they still would like to become part of us. Many people already want to join up with us right now. And once America joins up with Europe, and Cananda, our policies and our image will reflect that new addition. Those countries are viewed as more liberal, and more respected than America, especially Canada. It was number one on the list for the most liked countries.

They would bring a liberal influence, and a lot of admirers on board. People don't hate those countries.

See I believe our species is most likely not surviving the next 50 years. I think that if we tried this, which we probably wont, it would probably have a reasonably good chance of working. I think that basically the only thing that would prevent this from resulting in World Peace is World War 3, which will break out either way, whether we try it or not.

Since I don't believe our species is surviving the next 50 years anyways, I feel we have really nothing to lose by trying.

It's a bit of both.

I do not like the idea of one world government and I beleive that an area that wants independence like Chechnya, Kosovo, Transnistria, North Cyprus, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Somaliland, and others should get independence. I feel that a world government will not be equal and will be dominated by the G8 and China. And I feel that the Earth has too many cultures and hatreds to allow a single world government.

Instead we should strive for continental blocks like the European Union, Community of South American Nations, African Union, and the Caribbean Community, and the United Nations and work towards integration, co-operation, and economic unity while maintaining independence, soverignity, and cultural diversity.

While I beleive that world peace is impossible to obtain ,and if so,impossible to maintain (hey that rhymes ), I don't see the harm in promoting it and trying to strive for it. Peace is a good thing after all.

I don't think that we are going to go extinct within the next 50 years. I think that we as a species will see the year 3007. However, your plan has no chance of working. It relies on people dropping a human emotion, hatred. That will never happen, nor should it.

Your plan is also far too socialist, and I am not talking about universal health care and free college education. While I don't beleive that the United States should adopt a universal health care program, it's not going to turn us into pinko Commie bastards. I'm talking about economic. While there are going to be people who like the ideal of socialism while at the same time, there are going to be people who are completely opposed to the idea of the government interfering with economic affairs and forcing corporations to pay a so-called "payroll tax." Also, socialism hinders economic development and innovation.

I'm not saying that capitalism is perfect, some degrees of government intervention is required. But history has shown that socialism, to the degree that you want, has failed. And that as long as capitalism doesn't reach to a point where workers are completely abused and have the oppourtunity to join the upper class, it succeeds. Not only that history downright proves that a socialist state will lead to dictatorship. Every single socialist state has become a dictatorship and future socialist states will become dictatorships also (take a look at Venezuela which is becoming both a socialist state and a dictatorship).

3. Use these BILLIONS to create water purifying machines, fund education, etc.
