I doubt this will happen, but heard its possible in my film history class. Apparently a story has been talked about, where Evey is trying to be a vigilante like V, but isnt so good at it, meanwhile V is actually alive.

sounds stupid and i hope it never happens, just wondering if anyone else has heard anything

Evey for Vendetta?

No thanks.

Although maybe....

considering the first one wasn't as great as everyone seems to think... I could care less.......

go watch fight club instead... better, more clear message about society

Tell you the truth i found the film pretty boring

I highly enjoyed V for Vendetta, but there is no need for a sequel.

i loved V for Vendetta and thought Hugo Weaving was great as V...the Wachowskis also said the Matrix wouldnt have a sequel at first...the sequels sucked but still...i wouldnt mind seeing V come back and throw some more knives. i couldnt see Evey doing much of anything though.

But a completely different one. It's no good just getting one view of society (or anything) over and over.

i dont really care to compare fight club and V for Vendetta....very different movies... i was a little angry we dont find out who V is...yes the man in room 5, but who the hell is he, i always thought it was Eveys dad, but no.

poor story telling

You were missing the whole point.

It's not about who is under the mask, its about the idea that he stood for.

yeah,... the point is,... one gets it message across.... V couldn't,... it wanted to be to many different things... and it didn't pull one off

dont know what your talking about there...

oh yea i definately got the point about him being an Idea...i jsut thought the ending woulda been different and showed who he was, when evey responded to the cop "he was my father" i thoguht that was gonna be it but she continued

I love V For Vendetta, the original printed versio and the movie. A sequel? God no, there's no reason (other then money?) to make this sequel. Not everything has to be turned into a trilogy or a franchise.

who knows... natalie does pick alot of wierd things

poor story telling

Considering that it was just exactly like the book. :whatever:

The book never shows who V is really. So in essence you're saying what the book established is poor storytelling. As a poster stated before me, it wasn't about who he was, but the idea behind the mask and the idea that stood for what was right.

In my opinion, V For Vendetta is the best comic book film adaptation next to Batman Begins.

well, evey does take on the persona of V at the end of the graphic novel, but she was not to be a vigilante in the way the the original V was. he was about the destruction of the old society, and she was supposed to become the symbol of rebuilding a new way of life. anyway, a sequel is a terrible idea, as much as i loved the movie and the book.

lol... tell that to the author of the graphic novel... he won't agree... he hated the film...

and yes... it was poor story telling... when so much of the story is based on the enigma that is V.... the only logical ending would be to show who he is, or was...

NEWS ALERT... not every comic is a great story from begining to end... V started out strong... but ended on a whimper....

you're not supposed to know who V is, that would ruin the character. and would be pretty lazy story telling.

lol.... no.. it was a cop out on the writters part... he made a character... and he couldn't come up with a proper way to explain who he was without ruining the character... that is lazy.... so what does he do... leaves it alone... and tells everyone "it's not the person, it's the idea" blah... cop out....

that would be like knowing who Vader is....

knowing who he was before larkhill wouldn't make a lick of difference because he ceased to be that character after he lost his mind and was reborn in the fires of the camp. the character of V is only who we get to know over the course of the story, there is no before.

Darth Vader was just bitter, crippled Anakin Skywalker in a suit. V is a completely different character than whoever he was before larkhill.
