Vanessa Kirby is Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman

Do you think it might be fun to introduce the storm’s mum and dad? It might be a good way to develop Sue a bit more if she has someone to brush up against

Their mothers dead and father in jail

I don't want to see it. Reminds me too much of Ultimate FF and Fan4stic.

In flashback form they could be introduced to flesh out Sue and Johnny’s characters but I don’t think either of them are needed for at least the first movie. Though I think they could be alluded to in dialogue but that’s about as far as I’m willing to take it. As of the current status quo of the comics, both of their parents are deceased. The dad was alive in the present storyline but he eventually died. If memory serves, I believe he was killed by the Skrulls or something. The mom is not a big character, and is an unseen character in 616. She’s alive in the Ultimates and…bear with me here

She’s a villain who one time replaced Doctor Doom in the comics.

It’s great that all these characters have well fleshed-out backstories from the comics.

That’s a gold-mine for a good writer but should only be shown if it’s relevant to the story.

In the case of Johnny and Sue, their backstory is important because it means Sue had to take care of Johnny, and she’s not just his sister, but his mother as well.

If I were writing, I’d keep that in mind when writing scenes between Johnny and Sue.

She should be over-protective and bordering on overbearing at times, and he should be rebellious and sick of her always telling him what to do - while also being closer to her and truly loving her in a deeper way than most brothers and sisters.

Did you see this report that Marvel Studios featured Emily Blunt as the Invisible Woman on a fan survey that they sent out? It was a picture of Krasinski and Blunt as Mr. and Mrs. Fantastic. It was actually a fan poster someone had made, but they cropped off the Torch and Thing and showed Krasinski and Blunt. You've got to admit, that's a pretty odd thing to do if it's meaningless.

^ WOW. Great news. Looks like we might have our Sue now. Disney has officially used the fan art below to hint at the casting according to the source above and Disney's own internal survey. I HOPE THEY KEEP a similar design for The Thing.

Poor 838 Sue Storm, having to raise her two children alone because her husband was turned into Twizzlers. I have to point out again that Disney cropped out the Torch and Thing from the poster you linked to. Every time I see Zac Efron, I think of a joke from Saturday Night Live. A female movie reviewer said "Zac Efron? You mean Zac what the F is wrong".

That survey stuff sounds like made up BS. Why would Disney use fan art of unofficially cast characters it doesn't make sense. And seeing the link I'm even less inclined to believe it.

It was probably some intern sending an e-mail.

I doubt top Disney management was involved, and if top management wasn’t involved, the person sending the e-mail probably had no idea who is or will be cast.

Guys, I don't think Comer's getting the role and I think we should let that go.

Can I tell you guys something?

Another possible actress crossed my mind yesterday. Somebody that you don't want as Susan.
But it would be really hilarious. I would laugh so hard that my eyes get all watery and then I would fall out of the chair, still laughing...

.....if they cast Jennifer Lawrence in the role

JLaw was rumoured. And honestly it isnt a horrible casting. She fits the MCU vibe and unfortunately for her, she gets a bad rap. Her or Kristen Bell would match up well with Kras

She said from the article: "Specifically, she noted that she couldn't "hook into that character" and that she "didn't understand the dialogue". Yeah, because Trank's version was garbage.

As for her being cast as Sue, I like her enthusiasm. Not my first choice, but there's nothing about her that would put me in a panic. I'd have to see a pic of her as Sue to say for sure, since she has naturally dark hair.

You are right. She would fit quite well. But do people realize that?
The reason for me to laugh so much I won't be able to breathe, is because I know how much backslash and hate that casting is going to get.

JLaw was once praised for her talent. When she was younger, her future seemed bright.
Then she ended up doing X-Men. It started out good but after the last couple of films, everybody despised her.
I am even a little afraid to suggest her for F4.

While she could do a good Susan (with the right scrip and direction), maybe we need to give another talent a chance instead?
Lily James, Imogen Poots... or my no 1 fav Amanda Seyfried.

Heck, just cast Seyfried and be done with it. James and Poots can fight over the role of Jean Grey.

Yeah, what happened to her? I don't dislike her, but my first reaction to the suggestion that she be Sue Storm was to be repulsed. She's a good actor, or at least she was known as one when she was younger.

she was one of the first ones who called out sexual abuse against Harvey Weinstein and (in my personal opinion), has been stealth-blacklisted from blockbuster movies (her films have been niche and financial failures since speaking out against Weinstein) in Hollywood.

JLaw for Sue is similar to me as Krasinski for Reed - She could do it, and I wouldn’t complain, but I think there are better options out there.

JLaw is a great actress but doesn't seem motivated enough for this stuff.
