Vanessa Kirby is Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman

heard an interesting rumor floating around about Alexandra Daddario...

not a name I've thought of, but, now that I think of it, I don't hate it

whats more interesting about the rumor is that it includes her real life brother {Matthew Daddario} as Johnny... an though I'd prefer a slightly wider age gap between Sue and Johnny,(Alexandra, 36/Matthew, 34) the idea of an actual Brother/sister in the role is intriguing

thoughts?

debunks on the rumor...

suggestions of which Reed (rumored/ or fan-cast) she'd fit best with
Very interesting suggestion. But I say no.
(I want her for another role, that's why)

Susan and Johnny don't have to be played by real-life siblings. I think it will be a little overkill.

Love Alex D. :hrt:

Never thought of her for Sue but It could work. She's very likable and charming.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I like it.

I always saw Alexandra more as Rogue

We have two 89'ers suggested in Lily James and Imogen Poots.
There is another one born that year, who's a "name actress". We know her very well, but she could be something of a left-field choice for Susan:
Mia Wasikowska

Does she have something that'll suit the character or is she just wrong?

FANTASTIC FOUR: Rachel Brosnahan Responds To Sue Storm Rumors By Saying "[It] Would Be A Blast"

Are you people dyslexic? In what world does "Jodie Comer" spell out as "Rachel Brosnahan"? They don't even look alike!
Haha, I also wonder where those rumours were swirling. She wasn't on the shortlist, for a starter.
This is the first time I've heard her being linked to the role.
Is this article actually referring to itself when it's claimed that there are rumours? :funny:

Honestly, it's kinda amazing how people seem to care about this casting moreso than any other in the family.

That's a wide variety of looks in the pictures above. But my favorite depictions of Sue were in the first few hundred issues, drawn by Kirby, Romita, and Buscema.

Nice collection of pics (the last one has already disappeared). I like that you posted them :)

When looking at these different interpretations of Susan, one thing strikes me:
THIS is the character we're fancasting here. It's heavy!!!!
We must get the right actress!!! :D

I've been thinking.
There's no need to cast a brunette, actually. Yes, I know that a particular actress can be really suitable for the character, and she just happens to have dark brown hair.
But when looking at the sheer amount of talented actresses who already are blond, many of them mentioned here, there's no need to cast someone who has to dye all of her hair for the role and keep it blond during filming while the hair grows.
I think the right one can be found among the blond ones because they all have their own personalities, and atleast 1-2 will suit Susan.

To include the other side of the scale, not many will look at one pic of a blond actress among a dozen of brunettes and instantly think "oh, she will be a good Wonder Woman".

I agree with you. But most blonde women dye their hair anyway.

Thought we needed some Kirby in here. I realize the above comic panels may sound dated, but I love her rebuff of Reed here: "Oh, go polish a test tube or something".

Yes, it's sexist and very dated. Good that you pointed it out.

A reminder of the good old days:
"The man always knows best... and he's always right"

It makes me uncomfortable, as a man myself.

It would almost be fun to go full Midsommer with it or like the stepford wives. Like, she’s all like that and gets deconstructed and deconstructed until she realises she’s been fed baloney her whole life.

Of course that would only really work if they went with the “set in the 60s” idea

What about Mia Wasikowska?
I think Mia would be a great choice. She's a great actress and already has connection to Disney (Alice in Wonderland). So she could possible be on the list to pla Sue.

You know Disney usually casts actors from previous Disney movies like Jude Law (Captain Marvel, Peter Pan, Skeleton Crew), Cate Blanchett (Cinderella, Thor Ragnorak), Richard Madden (Cinderella, Eternals), Angelina Jolie (Malificent, the one and only Ivan, Eternals) and so on.

So Mia could be a potential candidate like other actresses: Lily James (Cinderella), Emma Stone (Cruella)
