Vanquish

This game looks fun, but I don't like the HUD though. Is it me or the main villain looks a bit like Ramon Salazar from RE4?

Does any know if there has been any mention about extra suits of armor?

saw that you were left hanging here. The only thing that was mentioned as extra stuff on this game was some thing that comes with the Gamestop pre-order content , called "The Tri-Weapon pack"

the details are here in this link from a few months back on game trailers news artical.

So, what’s this pack packing? Glad you asked…Here’s a description:
The Tri-Weapon pack contains a small arsenal of experimental technology, made up of the Boost Machine Gun, Anti-Armor Pistol and Laser Cannon. This triple threat of futuristic weaponry gives players an edge in surviving the frenetic and massive battles onboard the vast space station setting of Vanquish. The Boost Machine Gun is an early experimental weapon with impressive overall fire power and the speed to dispense rounds similar to that of a heavy machine gun. The Anti-Armor Pistol fires a special penetrative shell and was manufactured to tackle hostile forces with much stronger armor. Finally, the Laser Cannon is a miniaturized space warship laser and is more powerful than any other weapon available for infantry.

But nothing more on what you asked. too bad this isn't for pc. it could give mass effect 2 a run for it's money. I'm saying could not will. but sega can't make this developer screw up. so it most likly will

I knew of the weapon pack, hopefully there will be more DLC goodies.

Vanquish Demo Coming Sept. 2

Vanquish, the futuristic Russia-vs.-America shooter coming from Sega and Platinum Games, will get a demo on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 2.

Atsushi Inaba, the game's producer gave up the demo date in an interview with Gamespot Japan that Andriasang spied and translated.

The demo is a prologue sequence titled "Velocity Attack," and will feature a boss battle. Two difficulty settings will be included - casual and normal, with casual supplying an auto-aim feature.

Vanquish drops in North America on Oct. 19. Inaba said development on the title is already 100 percent finished
.

I can't wait to play this game! :woot:

Nice, looking forward to it. I hope it's as fun as I'm wanting it be; been hoping for an action game like this for awhile

Gotta say hard to argue with what they said here. Sega took a lot of blows especially with what went down with the Iron man 2 movie game ( oh they said they fixed the issue of the first game and yet it turned out the same)and them helping to screw up the Alpha protocol game acording to a dev that worked on the game that told joy Stiq.
This
And Bayonetta was cool, but didn't do too well in sales. should have sold more.

If I were saga I'd put it on pc as well I think it has the potential to be Mass effect 2's rival well if done right and there another catch to it.
And they should promote this more. but right now their not doing enough.

Woot! Demo next Thursday, I'll be ready and waiting yo.

Well, that's funny because I played it tonight.

Bah, I'll have to wait until tomorrow to download the demo.

Playing it and near completion. This game is a must buy.

I found it challenging in all the right ways and by no means do I mean that its hard but its not that easy either. But most should get it as the controls become very fluid or at least it did for me.

Definitely going to be reserving this along with Black Ops and Halo: Reach.

This game though is so original in terms of gameplay that I might invest more time into Vanquish's singleplayer.

Question though. How's the HUD? Since from the gameplay footage I've seen it's not a fading HUD, it's there the whole time, so is it bothering or not?

Looks fantastic.

I'm just confused on one thing, the whole slowing down time thing. Is Sam really slowing down time, or is it just a tool to gain better shots?

I would assume that it may be a thing that Sam does, he might not slow down time at will, it's more like he's just moving faster than the enemy allowing him to make well placed shots.

Yeah that's what I was getting at.:oldrazz:

it's a tool to get better shot's yes. he's moving so fast the his response time is quicker, and it gives him hyper awareness to see his surroundings.
