Ok if that’s what you want to believe.

I however understand Brock/Venom has come to the end of the line as being a credible enemy ever again, since it is impossible and have explained why.

I agree with the guy saying venom has run his course. He is a one trick pony, and is now a boring character. That being said. I am a blind vebom fanboy. I am in my late teens and was introduced to the character by the spiderman animated show. If MArvel killed him off I would roll on the floor and kick, scream and bite until they brought him back. Why? In my opinion he is the coolest looking villain of all time. That's it. I think there is some hope for Venom, if maybe Eddie Brock reunited with the symbiote, tried to kill spidey out of hate, and then realized what you guys have been saying.

Eddie: "Wow. I have all this power, and what do I do? I try to kill spiderman, and I fail everytime. I am lame. I should run away, but still be kept alive on the back burner incase someone comes up with a way to put me into a good story, or maybe even become a supporting cast member to peter; a guy with similar powers but with a different view on how to use them. Kinda like that ezekial guy was, but way cooler."

I agree that this is The End for Venom. For all intents and purposes, Venom's story arc extended to Peter's rejection of the symbiote, the symbiote re-uniting with Brock, equally wronged, and going out to kill Peter, whom they know to be Spidey, and cannot be sensed by him and has camoflague (sp?) and can lash out with tendrils. Basically the ultimate negative deus ex machina.

But he was overused and under-developed. Personally, I thought Venom should be smarter than Spider-Man since he has Brock's brain (OK, maybe not smart but at least cunning instinctually), alien symbiote knowledge (however far that extends to), and Peter's near-genius level of intelligence. I think Venom has a far better chance of being an interesting character in USM (even if he comes across as a punk kid), than he does (or maybe did) in regular comics. Venom is fun from the angle of being Peter's "dark side," but other characters have that flair as well. Marvel did not take the time and consideration to develop him in anything but a one-sided manner, and have essentially cheated us out of some very good possibilities.

If Venom IS reborn, I think the most credible way will be as a restart, and there are already way too many of those. So, best of luck in SM-3 and USM, Venom.

seriously after venoms second appearence the idea of the symbiote should have been left to die. I mean wtf the symbiote doesnt even need to use duplicate spider powers. It can mutate or alter it shape in any way.

He's alive, in a recent issue (well it's not THAT recent) after Spidey unmasked they showed him in bed at the hospital, the cancer seems to be hitting him hard; all his hair is gone etc.

Much as I like Venom, he was almost better off dead...
Especially with the way things have been lately. (Scorpion/Venom? WTF??)

seeing as venom is not going to die because of the movie, the symbiote should go around, using some of the villains as a temporary hosts learning as much as it can in order to become more powerful. It could pick some traits from it's hosts as it did from spider-man and attach itself to a new permanent host and be way more powerful then it was when it was attached to eddie brock.

and for the record, i was introduced to venom in the comics in the early nineties and have recently started reading comics again, so i am not familiar with alot of the back history, and i can see where you guys are coming from with the 1-dimensioness. i did read the arc where eddie sells the symbiote, and imo when venom jumps and abandons the kid half way letting him fall to his death, that was awesome..
