Venom's transformation.

How would you guys like to see Eddie Brock being consumed by the symbiote and acutally turning into Venom in the movie?

Do you think it'll be like the leaked trailer, quickly covering his body and almost instantly turning into Venom?

I personally would like to see a more detailed version. Slowly, but almost painful to watch. Like in the classic horror flick 'An American Werewolf in London', when the first transformation takes place. You could almost feel his pain while watching that.

Thoughts? Opinions?

definitley. remember the eddie transformation wallpaper we got? i'm sure they'll have that scene drawn out in the movie.

if anyone noticed in the leaked trailer when Brock dropped to his knees and bulked up you could see his blonde hair poking through the suit. Maybe what we saw was just the begining of his transformation and we may still see this scene in the movie.

Everytime I see that pic, I think of the Toybiz talking venom saying,"I want to eat your brains!" because that looks like what he's saying there. lol

Well AWIL is one of my favorite horror movies, but to have that gruesome of a transformation in a pg-13 movie I don't think thats gonna happen. AWIL was rated R. But im glad you consider that movie a "classic" cuz for a movie made in 1981 that had some kick ass effects. If only Rick Baker was on raimi's team.

Yeah, actually what we saw of Venom in the trailer was just an animatic previz' version.

Hopefully we will see this scene in the movie. The symbiote will do more than just simply covering Eddie's body & forming a big ole mouth & eyes, it will physically mutate him & transform him into this creature so the transformation will probably be very painful.

Well, Brock doesn't know what the symbiote is yet. He doesn't know it's going to make him powerfull and allow him to revenge himself on Spidey, all he knows is that some freaky black goo that can move on it's own is suddenly slithering all over his body, so I doubt he's going to be like "YES! I'm being covered in what appears to be sentient sewage!"

I think they depicted Brock as being freaked out when the symbiote found him the first time in the comics too. It's just the shock factor.

it lands on his hand first and the symbiote is able to form a psychic connection with anything it touches....within a blink of an eye it should tell brock everything about it and what it can offer him, then a mutual bond out of hatred should form venom.

Although not depicted quie this way, i always thought this is how the cartoon version went down, except for there was no time to see this happening. But you know from the point brock comes into contact with it and turns into venom and then busts out the webbing that a deal has already been made.

Yes, I think everyone would be a little annoyed if Brock was depicted as an accident, but I don't think it will happen that way.

In the cartoon, brock also was frightened when the symbiote started to converge on him, but it was only for a couple moments until it converged on him and he then realized what it was.

My guess is, Brock's fear is going to blot out any communication the alien tries to send to him, while it's converging on him, but once the symbiote covers him and he realizes it's not trying to eat him or cause him harm, he'll realize what a gift he just recieved.

i doubt it, they have yet to show footage in a trailer that hasn't made it into the actual film...

except of course the WTC trailer that was used to advertise the first film.
