The Plot Holes in Spider-Man 3

There's a feature in the 1st movie dvd, where yu watch the movie and dome movie facts appears on screen.
When that scene comes out it says written: The Eddie mentioned is Eddie Brock, a photographer(is that right?) that becomes Venom.
ok dont want to insult you. but did you just quoted the post where they guy said that brock was not in the movie?

I dont know if its a plot hole or not but anyways. The symbiote arrives on Earth in a extremely hot, burning comet and is completely fine. In the end, a huge symbiote creature is destroyed by a bomb:huh: that didn't make sense to me. I mean the goo was just so small in the beginning and it should have burned up, but it didn't.
it was not shown clearly that the symbiote is dead. a lot of people didnt even see the skeleton. its suposed to be a mistery.
so this is not a mistake IMO.

This may have been addressed, but why were the Stacys at Harry's funeral?

It's made pretty clear that the symbiote at the construction site was destroyed - I've seen it 3 times and you see the last of the suit burn up. As for Eddie...flash fried, skeleton and all. There's no mystery.

The symbiote still lives, though, as Connor's still has a sample so...in a way, yes, Venom is still around. =)

Didn't Gwen go to High School with Harry & Peter if so then Gwen came to pay her respect or did Peter only meet up with Gwen in College for the first time in the movies, if so then she probably didn't know who Harry was. Third option she came as emotional support for Peter & her father came along for the ride.

Not exactly a plot hole, but I found it hard to believe that Peter wouldn't have brought Mary Jane up to speed on the situation with Harry.
I mean, Harry's their mutual best friend and the only other person in the world who knows Pete's identity....He hates Pete and wants revenge... and his father was the nutjob that nearly killed her twice in the first film.
I think Pete was keeping her in potential danger by not telling her.

A girlfriend would want to know these things... ;)

Yes, that is a BIG plot hole. I remember Robbie mentioning Eddie in the first Spider-Man film. Of course, they could have meant a different Eddie, but what are chances? I assumed at the time that they meant Eddie Brock. I think everyone else did too.

what are the chances? uhh GOOD

of course they meant Eddie Brock at the time but just as a tease to US.

Isn't it entirely possible that his study of the symbiote goo is what leads to him creating the regenerative syrum?

Why are kids clapping and looking up at metal things just falling from the sky, any of them which can hit them?

What kind of camera can take quality picture over 200 feet up in the air?

Why would Jameson pay 100 dollars for a camera that can't even take pictures from at least three feet? Christ, all the bystanders must have binnocular vision.

How did Sandman fall into a hole the size of a crater, without even seeing it?

Why does Peter Parker want to go on top of a church, out of all places, in order to try and remove the alien symbiote? What makes him want to go to a church in the first place?

How is Eddie Brock going to humiliate Peter by kidnapping the red-hair, and writing: Come Get Us on a web? It would be better if Venom unmasks Spiderman in front of a newscamera for all to see. But then again, what's the point? Because in Spiderman 2, everyone in the train already knows who Spider-Man is.

What was the point of Sandman, Venom?

Why would Mary Jane agree with Harry Osburne to tell Peter Parker, she hated him, when she really didn't? And why did she say it like she meant it?

before the movie came out i thought that he will do this :csad:
to bad.

Okay here's one...

Why were Captain and Gwen Stacy at Harry Osborn's funeral?

They didn't know him! And before someone says... er, because he just helped save the city. Well... does that mean that everyone knows that Peter is Spider-man now too?

He was named, and on the dvd extras it says its Eddie Brock. Read above...

no, he was NOT named

all they said was a guy named Eddie. There are millions of people named Eddie. For christ's sakes it could have been Eddie Brock senior.

If they don't say it in the movie it never happened for sure.

How do you know they didn't know him? The Osborns were obviously a powerful family and well known on the New york social scene. As well they were problably involved in charity and other causes. Captain Stacy could have known both Norman and Harry through any number of these things, and was there to represent the city brass.

Brock was at the Bugle in SM1.

This isn't a plothole. This is fanboys wanting to gripe over something. Obviously in the context of the films that wasn't Eddie Brock. not a hard concept to grasp if you're willing to not be childish.

threatened or not by harry, telling pete that shes with someone else, shes just been threatened by harry, hang about,'why dont i just tell my boyfriend what you just did,my boyfriends spider-man,he'l kick your arse!'

I rewatched (aka got through) Spider-Man 1 this weekend and Jameson only says Eddie.

Still, coincidence....? I think not!

I wouldn't call this a plot holes (and these are in no complains, i loved the movie)
throughout the movie sandman, is called Flint Marko, but, isn't his real name William Baker? he changed it to flint when he turn to a life of crime, it was aliase (I just figured the police would of used his real name on record)
I guess they figured main stream would know him as Flint and did want to confuse people
just saying (it did really bother me or anything)

also, (I don't know if its been mentioned or not), but, just something else I noticed
when black suit spidey is chasing sandman from the bank, and he sand phases down in to the sub way, through the drain grid or whatever, (that Spiderman had to rip open) didn't sandman still have the bags of money in his hands, how did he get those down with him? Or am I remembering that scene wrong ?

I don't know if anyone mentioned in this thread, but I know they did in another...the symbiote being weakened by the bell tower, and the metal poles at the end...but not the sound of two subway cars screaming down their metal tracks, and just inches away from the black suited Spider-Man...

The naysayers can deny all the other plotholes until their faces turn blue, but even THAT one is particularly horrible. :oldrazz:

I always figured it was certain sound frequencies (like the same frequencies of a tuning fork)

but they didnt explain that.:cwink:

No but Brock tells you:

"Ohh my Spider Sense is tingling"

"How does that sound Tiger?" (Hey didn't he say that in TAS as well?)

Not the biggest himts but I think most people should be able to figure it out.

The frequencies of a bell and metal pipes are totally different from each other. I find it hard to believe that the train happened to be in the one area of sonic sound that wouldn't effect the suit. There's no reason clanging a metal bar into another metal bar would make the symbiote freak out, but metal wheels on a metal track would not. I know that Spider-Man smashing Sandman's face into the train was one of the best scenes of evil Spider-Man...but that is just soooo bad. x_x
