Vale should come back, as she's the longest running batman love interest besides catwoman and talia...

While she's in All Star I doubt they'll bring her into continuity at the same time. But I guess if it turns out fans liked her, I don't see why they don't reconsider in the near future.

All Star Batman is stalling, but in the meantime... Vicki Vale returns to modern canon continuity!

Having fallen from the heights of being a TV presenter, Vale returns to her original place, with a newspaper.

Gotham Gazette is being made as part of the Battle for the Cowl series, with two issues Batman Dead? and Batman Alive? looking at the plot from Vicki Vale's perspective.

Technically, the above picture is the old Vicki, the new Vicki is in the last link I gave... unless you were referring to that?

I can see why they did it- they wanted their version of Mary Jane, and none of the pre-existing characters could have done all that Rachel's character did. It could have been Harvey Dent in the first movie, but then they would have been completely lady-less, and that would never be allowed.

Rachel is like a mix of Zatanna (childhood friend), Harvey Dent (DA), Rachel Caspian/Andrea Beaumont (first true love) and Vicki (nosey yet well intended).

Rachel served her purpose in many ways now (given Bruce a personal vendetta against the Joker, given the audience a female character who lasted more than one movie, installed a logical conscience into Bruce, introduced Harvey into the plot). But yeah, it's time for Bruce to date Vicki, though not necessarily get serious with her.

Gossip diva Vicki Vale got her legendary, notoriously firm, shapely fanny tossed into the hoosegow yet again after trying to lift an estimated $11,320.00 worth of merchandise from the Sprang. The cutie klepto pled quilty. After paying for the loot and promising on a big heap load of bibles to seek counseling, she got off with a wink and a nod to the judge.
