Vince Doesn't See Money in the Wrestling Thread

This new MEM is not even MEM. The original concept was basically a heel version of WCW's Millionaires Club. I mean MEM sucked before but at least do it right. The moment they added Joe to the original group they lost their point. Magnus in a group called Main Event Mafia is stupid.

The MEM out there reminds me of Atlas Security, in their silly jackets.

Sabin getting his Kobashi on!

Great match and was cool too see the X-Division title being defended as a main event on Impact!

When I read the Impact Wrestling spoilers for this week and next, I wasn't enthused over a couple of developments, but I figured I would watch first before critiquing.

After watching, my opinion hasn't changed. I hate Magnus as a member of the Main Event Mafia. Personally, I'd much prefer that they remain with the original premise for the group: strictly former/current world heavyweight champions.

Also, I don't see the point of giving the title to Aries last week, if they were just going to hand it right back to Sabin. They got the cute little reveal of Aries as the faux-Suicide, and a good main event X-Division match this week, but beyond that...what was the point?

I'm actually looking forward to the Cena/Henry match. Have they ever feuded before?

I haven't seen the show yet but this made no sense to me when I read the spoilers and there is no way to make any sense of it, it was just pointless. The other thing is that Aries vs Bully was a much better choice as people would actually go into the match thinking that the title might change hands, now they know Bully is winning for sure so that Impact is built on a main event that is a forgone conclusion.

Not that I can recall, I can't actually remember a match between them other than that short one the night after Mania, at least they havne't done anything substantial together since Henry started the "Hall of Pain" push.

It wont be a popular choice here but Goldberg would have gotten my vote.

Christian's pyro was better than Orton's. Don't care for RVD's. Kane being first I find great just because they're right, it is such a part of his character.

I was thinking if not number 1, number 2. But that's more of the whole entrance he did. With the knock, the guards, the song, the whole shebang of it. If it was entrances we were talking about, he'd definitely get number 1.

The whole presentation of Goldberg was brilliant. Plus he has a certain aura about him that someone like Ryback lacks. I will say that Ryback probably will be known as the better wrestler of the two.

That was indeed a great main event and it's the X-Division that's given that spotlight, which is a rarity in Impact. Cool way to put over Chris Sabin big time.
I love that climactic finisher Sabin gave Austin Aries. That's likely going to be one of his moments in TNA.

Goldberg had the best entrance with it because the mofo was crazy enough to stand IN the pyro! He also breathed out the smoke. That was some cool sh**.

Christian had a great entrance too before Evolution / Orton stole it.

@runawayboulder

Cena and Henry had a good match on RAW in early 2008. Take that along with Henry's strong booking in the past and its why I'm actually looking forward to their MITB match.

Re: TNA music

I like:

Jeff Jarrett's My World
Samoa Joe's theme
Suicide's theme
Styles's Evil Ways
The Aces & Eight theme (its better with lyrics though)
Joseph Parks' theme
Robert Roode's theme
Austin Aries' theme

and ironically Jeff Hardy's current theme.

Re: Samoa Joe

They really screwed up with him. He should've been undefeated until he won the TNA title. Instead, he lost his streak to Angle and would later lose the TNA to Sting at Bound For Glory 2008. I'm a Sting fan, but he should've jobbed to Joe that night.

WWE is hurting Bo Dallas with their booking. He's not without talent but it's his annoying promos that bug people. I get he's a white meat babyface but is it necessary to be so cheesy? Is referring to his fans as "Bolievers" supposed to get him over as a face? Because this isn't the reaction he should be getting:

I was a total mark for Goldberg, and his entrance was a big part of that. Like NDX said...the entire presentation was cool...the knock on his dressing room door by Dillinger, the police escort during the long, dramatic walk to the set entrance, the dramatic militaristic music, the pyro, him standing IN the pyro, him breathing and snorting out the pyro smoke like a dragon. The primal yell/growl before proceeding to the ring to kick someone's @$$...Bobby Heenan marking out through all of it...WCW did everything right with him. Until...

Starrcade '98?

Are people refusing to watch Bo's matches?

Good lord , Bo has fallen significantly since the Rumble.

Good lord , Bo has fallen significantly since the Rumble.

I will say it could be Bo's doing as he is very annoying on Twitter with the puns, so it could be his idea. Howevr, something tells me it could be a rare bad idea by the NXT bookers.

I'm not the biggest Bo fan, and I feel he's been overhyped on FCW and later NXT, but he's exceptional in some areas. He plays the face in peril extremely well in my opinion.

I'd say he has the ability , but definitely needs work on the promo skills. He should know the last thing fans want to be reminded of is Justin Bieber.

Agreed. Maybe he needs to shadow his brother for a few months lol.
