Yeah. Nor can I, actually.

But you know, realistically, the thing actually exists. I mean you can read part of it in the display. Essentially you're bidding on a piece of art. I mean it's debatable, but it's probably the only thing among the auctions that's actually worth any money.
 
I cant take the risk Im already looking at paying for a peice of paper with bad scribbling on it but that peice of paper will be displayed next to my mask and stickers with pride....

While I haven't been able to get my hands on a legit Joker dollar, I was able to pin down a legit Schrute Buck! Well...by pin down I mean create...but hey, whatever...

There are a suspicious amount of unstamped Joker cards on the market right now. One of them on Ebay has this description:

The item up for auction is an authentic Joker Card received during the viral marketing campaign of the Dark Knight. I had amassed several cards during the campaign through various events such as Operation Slipknot, scavenger hunts, SDCC, and Kicking and Screening but I need to sell some of them now

Other than the joker phones, and the very few people who got one in RDK, I'm aware of one (1) viral that lead to cards, most of which were stamped. Those cards were hard to come by, at least in Chicago. Several of us tried to get a card for our oracle and the goons wouldn't budge. Now all of the sudden I'm hearing stories of SDCC cards and Dent mobiles handing out cards to anyone who asks for them? Why would a Dent Mobile even HAVE Joker cards? I've been following the viral from day one, but have I somehow missed a **** load of Joker cards being passed out?

Where are these cards coming from, really? Have some of the poker sets leaked? Has someone mastered the replica? Are these the actors who 42 hired for gigs who held on to swag and are now selling it off?

you have to keep in mind that the 42 reps didnt always do things as they were suppose to. In the LA screening of the trailer where the reels were given out they had 3 screenings of the trailer due to so many people and for a FACT they opened up 3 decks of cards in which only 2 decks were stamped and the third had no stamps. I got a stamped card and a non-stamp card at the trailer screening. In the 2nd screening after it was over we insisted they show it two us again and they did, so in 1 day i saw the trailer 3 times. The reps had goon mask on them and i asked if i could have theirs because they were ALL sitting next to me at the screening and they said "i would but we're gonna raffle them" and after the 3rd screening they raffled about 7 of them because they had raffled the reel in the first screening. I doubt they did this anywhere else so you do have to keep in mind that every location was diffrent and its possible if someone just asked for something extra and they had it they would give it away. I got tons of harvey dent pins and 2 IBIHD shirts because the reps where just like take as much as you can.

Right, I know that. I know that LA had extra unstamped cards. But when a person who supposedly was at the LA screening doesn't know that, that's when I doubt the story. The stories that go along with these cards, stories about SDCC and kicking and screening cards are what makes me think something is fishy.

Then there is the sudden influx of unstamped cards. You could say it's just people who had been involved in the viral deciding to sell of their swag while there is still a market, but if that's the case why isn't there a similar surge in the number of stamped cards showing up? By all accounts there are still fewer unstamped cards in the world than stamped. We're talking 12 stamped decks to at most 4 unstamped decks out there.

Something isn't right.

I handed out cards (REPLICA's) at kickingandscreening, but as far as I know I was the only one anywhere who did.
The true value in these cards is the story behind it, the memories it invokes, the crazy cop chases, the anticipation of being there, the first moment when the WB logo comes onto the screen...... Ahh, if you could sell THAT, that I would buy.

that truely is where the value comes from. my joker bowling ball card i got the same day that i passed out the 4 pictures that include the joker nurse pics and the next day it was the number 1 search on google and a week later WB showed up at my door and although that was scary they asked to see the bowling ball and card so my card has been touched by WB reps. :woot:

ya right, that card isn't even close to original. People who purchase it are completely out of their mind. They didn't give them away, they are taken right off the poster and then printed on a bicycle card.. I've made set after set of all the cards on real bicycle card stock to know which ones on ebay are fake. Not to mention all the so called real viral cards that are glossed over, which I have faked as well. I just don't understand those who don't do research on these things.
 
Not sure if this is the right thread but I don't want to start a new one, maybe I'll post this in a couple threads but:

Has anyone that pre-ordered their DC Direct Joker TDK Poker set and Joker Cards from DCdirect.com or anywhere else gotten theirs yet? I see some sites say August or December I just ordered from one that said August 08. So anyone get theirs yet? I'm wondering how late it'll be in August.

They are not real, the same sellers keep selling them after they make them on bicycle card stock which you can get from walmart. Not to mention they sign up with new accounts all the time to keep the scam going, why on earth people buy this stuff is beyond me.
